So, anyone who burns and likes incense, knows how the MAJORITY of brands/scents typically smell like something is burning, besides the stick/cone of incense. I have primarily used Nag Champa, from Bangladesh, because it smells EXACTLY the same as when you smell the packet/sticks, etc. Nevertheless, this particular incense lives up to my standards, and I, personally, think that it's gorgeous, and right up there with Nag Champa! It's quite strong. So, this may, or may not, appeal to everyone. But, I think that it smells GORGEOUS AND BEAUTIFUL. I have also rubbed a bit of Nag Champa oil onto this incense, and the combination is absolutely SPECTACULAR!!

Truly beautiful. Strong, potent, and wonderful smelling. Honestly, EVERYTHING from Prabhuji is amazing. I love Sandalwood, Sage, and Lavender very much, though. After Padmini Radmanjari (I think that's how you spell it) it's my favorite. If you're sensitive to strong smells, you will benefit more from burning this in a large space or a place with ventilation, but if you have constant allergies where your nose is stuffy 90 percent of the time, you'll definitely enjoy the strength and power this puts out. I burn it in my medium sized bedroom and just think it's wonderful. I am, of course, one of those allergy sufferers. This is just one of the greatest I've ever used. I DO agree with some other reviews that you cannot detect the sandalwood, sage, or lavender at all by themselves, but I think they have managed to combine in such a beautiful way that it doesn't matter if these ingredients are not detected. Now, you might be able to smell them if you have no allergies and burn them in close quarters, but I just enjoy the beautifully blended ingredients and the thick sticks. The sticks burn a rather long while, but you will definitely wish you got more than 10ish sticks. I say 10ish because ten is what you're supposed to get, but I've bought others in Prabhuji's line of incense sticks and sometimes you'll find 11 or 12 sticks, or sometimes just 9 if they're extra thick. I think these are packaged by weight rather than stick count.

This is an absolutely delightful incense. If you put the sticks up to your nose and take a big whiff, you may think this is a headachy kind of scent, but when you burn it, it absolutely proves otherwise. This is a rich yet delicate scent, slightly sweet yet not cloyingly so. The copal really comes out nicely and is well-balanced with the amber. I got it in from Amazon yesterday and the shipping box smelled wonderful. I took one stick of incense out last night and rested it in the burner, and this morning my bedroom smelled amazing--without even lighting it! The only other single stick of incense that I've had scent a room without lighting it was the stuff coated with pure amber resin, and that says a lot for the quality of the product. I first smelled this incense when I was sitting for a couple of dogs that lived in a house that contained a working yoga studio. I came in after class one day and smelled the most amazing, soothing scent, and asked them what it was. Turns out they sold it at the studio, and I bought several packs on the spot. Unfortunately I can't get there anymore to get it, but amazon works just fine! I'm usually a fan of the lighter-feeling Sai Baba incenses such as the iconic Nag Champa in the blue box, but also their Sunrise, Celestial, and Midnight blends. Up until now, my favorite other incense was Gonesh Incense #2 blend (the Oils & Spices one), but this Vanilla, Coal & Amber is now a really, really close rival. I'll definitely be ordering it again.

When I first lit this incense I thought "wow, way too strong, and not even pleasant". I waited for the scent to get awesome and as it burned it just didn't happen. I left the house and went grocery shopping and when I came back home my house smelled amazing! I smelled the amber and vanilla notes all throughout the home and it was very warm, pleasant, pleasing and inviting. At first I thought this incense was, perhaps, overpriced for what I was getting but I think that maybe this company doesn't charge enough. The dimension and layers of fragrance is just plain amazing. I went through the pack relatively quick. What I felt really made this product amazing and top quality was the fact that days later I could still smell it. The scent lingered in the air and kept my home smelling fresh. I am actually looking forward to getting more of these incense, this fragrance in particular. High quality, awesome price point, definitely worthy of trying.

Upon opening the amazon package, there was an awful smell from the incense package itself that did not resemble nag champa. I previously bought the same brand and scent incense at a grocery store and this did not smell the same at all. This is malodorous and disappointing.

I LOVE strong scents. This wasn't as clear or strong as I would have liked.

Way too expensive
