Hydrating Face Moisturizer & Body Cream with Manuka Honey Cream - Organic Face Moisturizer with Honey for Extremely Dry Skin - for Dry & Itchy Skin, Rosacea & Eczema Prone Skin 2oz

I have mildly sensitive skin that leans toward the oily-side, and I struggle to find a moisturizer that works all day but doesn’t feel greasy. Previously, I was using Bare Minerals True Oasis and I love it, but every once in awhile, the skin on my neck becomes inflamed with hives, usually when I’m stressed and/or in hot weather and I’m wearing a necklace (I do know how weird that sounds). Up til now, only cortisone cream, applied daily for 3-4 days would calm my poor skin. This cream has healed it, and I haven’t had a “break-out” since I started using it a few weeks ago. It goes on heavy feeling but my skin is totally matte afterward and feels really lush and hydrated, not clogged or greasy. A little goes a long way, and even though this jar is the same size as my old bare minerals stuff, it’s going to last a much LONGER time. The only drawback is that it smells very lightly like honey and cream, which I know people probably love. I don’t, but I added a couple drops of peppermint oil and stirred the pot up and now it has a nice clean fresh scent. This is the best moisturizer I’ve found and the dual benefit of helping my sensitive skin is a pleasant surprise!

I just got this cream yesterday, and I've only applied it a couple times, but so far so good. I have seborrheic dermatitis and have been struggling with it for years. Its in the creases around my nose, on my eyebrows, and around the lower corners of my mouth. One product that worked a lot for me, oddly enough, was a hyaluronic acid cream. But the acid cream is irritating (stings) when I apply it even though it definitely keeps the flakes at bay, being that it's an exfoliant. With every product I've used to keep this dermatitis under control, they've never helped the redness. Flakes or no flakes, I have severe redness in those areas. I used this Honeyskin Organics cream last night and I woke up with a soft face, and also, no stingy, itchy or flaky skin. I washed my face and applied a light layer for the day, and tonight I washed and applied a light layer before bed. My skin isn't negatively reacting, and right now, is very smooth, feels moisturized, but still no flakes and no irritation. So far so good. (My skin usually reacts very negatively immediately upon trying new products) I'll keep using this for the next couple weeks and see what happens from there. I will note that YES it is a very thick cream, but once it's on and massaged in and dried, it doesn't feel heavy at all. It's very light and my face doesn't feel sticky or overloaded. I do put it on right after washing though while my face still has a bit of water. I'll update this post when I gain more knowledge of how my skin reacts to this cream. But so far, I'm feeling good about this one!

I waited almost two months after receiving this product to write this review because I was so on the fence about it and almost returned it twice, in fact. However, in the end, I have come to conclude this moisturizer is EXCELLENT and I will repurchase it. The pros and cons are discussed below: 1. The worst thing about this product is its ability to "play well with others". This moisturizer has a bit of an odd texture to it that I have now learned to love but did not at first. It is a little waxy almost. Because of this texture and the reason for my almost returning it twice was an inability to use it without horrible pilling. It was a lot of trial and error for me to figure out how to use it if I wanted to have anything else on my face. If you wear it alone sans makeup, serums, or anything else - you will have no problem. Likewise if you are using it as a body lotion without additional layers of products, you will love it. 2. Because of this issue, I use this moisturizer on my face only at night. I cannot wear it in the morning and wear makeup (and I do not wear foundation, only concealer and an application of pressed powder) or apply my Vitamin C, eye cream and peptide, sunscreen. IT DOES NOT WORK, no matter how long I wait between applying products. I end up with pilling and an unsmooth look so I use a moisturizer with mineral sunscreen in the morning and opt for this at night. 4. Applied at night after cleansing, toning, retinol this product is amazing. it sort of seals the moisture into your face, leaves it soft and smooth and no oiliness - not even when you wake up in the morning. 5. I have mild rosacea and battle some redness in my cheeks and I noticed a huge difference in 2-3 days after consistent use of this product (hence my reluctance on returning it and determination to make this product work for me!). 6. I seem to be alone on this, but I like the smell! 7. I bought the 2oz jar and it has lasted two months and I estimate I have about 2 weeks more of the product left. 8. This is the only "lotion" I let my 8 and 9 year old kids use. It is gentle and does not have fragrance and alcohols and dyes that are stuffed in to all other lotions. 9. My final comment is that this product is truly unique in its absorption and texture. Don't expect it to be like other moisturizers. Don't be too quick to return it, give it some time (I definitely had to) and you will be a convert. I do recommend this moisturizer but I give it four stars because of the problems I noted above. I am going to continue using it and purchase a larger size and start using it on my body as well. Hope this is helpful!

I bought this because it supposedly had manuka honey but when it arrived and I was able to read the ingredients I saw that manuka honey was pretty much the last ingredient. If there is just a drop of an ingredient in a product the company can legally say the ingredient is in there and I believe this is the case here. I'm disappointed and actually annoyed with myself for buying it. It does soothe my rosacea a little but more manuka honey would be of much greater help.

I'm a skeptic. I am wary of big promises from skin care products. I discovered long ago the products usually have their most profound impact on my wallet. A few months ago, at age 55, I developed rosacea. I have spent a fair amount of money and time looking for a solution. The product that worked best dried my skin and still left some redness. I took a chance on Honeyskin. Within three days all redness was gone and has never come back. I have been using for about a month now on my face, décolleté and arms. No special routine, just apply in morning and at night like I would any other moisturizer. Here's where I go so far as to say Miracle Cream". I suffer from allergies and have always struggled with puffiness under my eyes. Also, with age I've noticed my skin bruises and scratches more easily. Since I am an avid gardener and mother of backyard chickens, I have perpetual bruises and scratches on my arms - not pretty. Well, a couple of weeks ago I noticed the puffiness under my eyes looked better and has stayed that way. Then last week I realized I had almost no visible bruises or scratches on my arms. Obviously this cream is not preventing bruises and scratches, they just seem to be healing faster. I can eliminate rosacea and eye cream from my list, which makes this very affordable. Don't know if you will have same results, but I'd say it's worth a shot.

Update 2021-- I believe I wrote the original below review back in 2016 when I first discovered this facial cream. I have been using it religiously with great success until recently when I bought a new container of it. I immediately noticed it had a slight smell to it despite saying 'no fragrance.' It is hard to place the odor but I believe it is due to one of the 'new' ingredients. I have sensitive skin so any type of fragrance does not work well with my skin type. I then noticed it did not seem to work as well for my rosacea, instead it seems to aggravate it. I finally compared the ingredients on the new container to my old container to discover the formula/ingredients have changed. I feared this would happen eventually because companies cannot seem to leave a good product alone. Due to this, I cannot use this product anymore and now I am trying to find another product that does not irritate my skin so I am dropping the star review to one. ------------------------------------------------------------ I have mature, sensitive skin and recently began having problems with rosacea. I was desperate and began looking for moisturizers that would help. I was skeptical about this cream but I liked the fact it had Manuka Honey. Most skin creams cause irritation with my skin. I was pleasantly surprised that I have no sensitivity issues with this cream. I can layer it on thick and it doesn't clog my pores. Matter of fact, I wasn't expecting it to fix my adult acne issues! If I start to get a break-out, I put the cream on and it immediately goes away! It is amazing! I am not sure if it is the Manuka honey since Manuka honey is antibiotic or the Saccharomyces or a combination. Either way, it works and I am sold! I occasionally will swap with a Vit E cream, but then I always start to get break-outs and I'm back to using the Honeyskin cream again. This is pretty much the only skin cream I will use now. As to my rosacea, it is under control. I can't say it is completely gone but it is nowhere as inflamed as it was; it has tamed the redness so nobody can tell. Even if the rosacea flares up, the cream will immediately soothe my skin. I will continue using and buying this cream since I think it is a fantastic product! I hope the formula is never changed!

07/28/20 update - The company responded to my email the next day! I sent pics and an explanation. They were happy to exchange for a new jar. All they needed was the batch number and my shipping address. They mentioned that the product on Amazon may have sat longer because the batch number on the jar was an old one. I got the new jar 3 days later and they sent a 4 oz jar instead of a 2oz. Amazing customer service! I added a star for that. I think I will buy directly in the future. 07/15/20 update- I have been using this twice a day for months now and it has really helped me. It took awhile (1-2 mos) for my face to feel and look better. Might have been because my dermatitis was so out of control when I started with the cream. Unfortunately I just received a new 2oz jar that is not like the others. It’s off white/brownish. The consistency is clumpy instead of smooth. I ordered the jar in advance because I was getting low (ordered 6/4/20). I am now past my window of return for Amazon. I have emailed the company directly to see if they will exchange the jar I have for another. I will update this once I hear back. I have read other reviews about a color difference. I should have opened it when I got it. I have dermatitis on my face which is really challenging to heal without antibiotics or corticosteroids. Lately my usual routine hasn’t been working and I was hoping to find something else to help reduce the redness while moisturizing the dryness. I bought this based on reviews and would agree with some that while it did help somewhat it wasn’t a cure all. The redness is reduced but not gone. I also have to use a separate moisturizer. The smell isn’t bad but it’s odd at the same time. I’m sensitive to smells and I can deal with it but only as needed. I wouldn’t use it anywhere other than where I need it. Ultimately it is a decent product and would recommend it. I would just say use it with an open mind.

This stuff is so thick but it's not oily and absorbs fast. I love love love it. As long as it's out there I'm stocking up. It's perfect for a pre makeup moisturizer. At first it smells weird but u get used to it and once you realize how amazing it is, the smell doesn't matter. I'm telling everyone about this. Why did I not know about this? I use it on my butt too for cellulite (we all got it, don't lie) and it makes my booty soft. Buy it and you won't regret it. But just like anything realistic don't eleect it to work the second u put it on. Things take time. Well I've had the lotion for 2 weeks now. I had a zit between my boobs for like 2 weeks and I dapped some honey lotion on it and went away overnight. It was crazy. Also this is minimizing cellulite on my butt and thighs. I have decided to put honey lotion on my face before bed each night. My face is red a lot so this toned the redness down I apply it on my cuticle too...heals them. Something about the Manuka honey. I will buy more and more.
