Very good kit.
I'm used to building kits made by Dragon, and the detail is exceptional, but the parts count can be daunting. I had heard repeatedly that Tamiya kits are a favorite of many modelers: Fewer parts make for an easier build, with hardly any loss in detail, excellent instructions and great fit and finish. So I bought this kit - my first from Tamiya - and though I have not started to build it yet it appears to live up to Tamiya's reputation. The kit comes with the main gun tube molded as a single piece (yay!), and with an excellent bonus: three pastel/pigment colors (dark brown, sand and soot) along with an applicator! I'm looking very forward to making this kit. I only subtracted one star because it has the old type of rubber band tracks. Recommended.

Good, tough kit of Russian WWII Tank Destroyer.
This is an older kit from the late 1970s/early 1980s of the Russian tank destroyer SU-85. Parts count for this kit low, roughly 75 pieces give or take. Track shoes are 1 piece with detail only on one side. A crew figure is provided. There were 2 instructions sheets: 1 in Japanese and 1 in English. There is a very good history of vehicle provided, suggested paint guide, and decal placement. Decals are provided for Soviet, Polish, and Czechoslovakian vehicles - I built a Polish version. Inside of hull had the brackets for a small motor and battery placement (NO motor or batteries provided). Bottom of hull has a slit where the on/off switch for the motor would have protruded out from. Anyway, this was a fun and very quick build. Young persons would have no problem building this kit for parts count is low, kit is tough (takes a beating), and should not have any fit problems. This kit has been re-issued with weathering pastels and the price has been jacked-up some by Tamiya (suggest buying this basic kit). Remember that this is a plastic model kit and construction is required. Paint/glue not included.
