Great energy boost & perfect in coffee!
This maca powder has a bold, earthy taste, but it blends surprisingly well with my morning coffee. I love the steady energy it gives me without any jitters or crash afterward. Definitely a great addition to my daily routine! Great quality for the price

This stuff works
This stuff works. Been using it since having back to back miscarriages back in 2015. This is the only thing that balanced my hormones. The taste is horrible like eating dirt. But mask it in smoothies or oatmeal. Use it 4 weeks straight and off a week. Then start back again. Maca root is an adaptogen. This makes you will make you hungry, extremely fertile, give energy, great sleep, use it after workout and you won’t have sore muscles. Benefits outweighs the taste. This will also make you gassy when you first start but after everything will balance. Best used during the day. I started off with 1tsp a day for a week. Then I went up to 1tbsp a day and stuck to that. As for the P65 warning on the back of the packaging. It is required BY LAW for every company to add the P65 warning on packaging when being sold in CA. As a company, you won’t be able to sell anything to the state of CA if the warning isn’t there. From clothing to food to skincare. This is a natural root that grows in the mountains of Peru. I am not worried about the P65 warning as it’s on everything.

Improved Energy But Hard to Drink
I read a large number of reviews on Amazon and on other sites before purchasing this particular product. It became clear I needed the Gelantinized version given my history of easy bloating and digestion problems and the raw version wasn't a good idea for me. I was attracted to this product for the potential of higher energy levels and balancing of various systems in my body, i.e. endocrine system. I have been using a heaping teaspoon every morning for over a week now and I am absolutely experiencing higher levels of energy. As for the other effects, I think its too early to know yet but I am hopeful. But here's the thing... it is absolutely and utterly disgusting. It smells horrible and tastes even worse. I am not one of those people who turns their nose up at supplements because of flavor or smell; I push through for the benefit and recognize natural products are not necessairly going to be pleasant. However, this one is giving me pause. I have tried using it in my morning BSN Syntha Vanilla protein shake (best protein powder ever, like melted ice cream), which is mixed with unsweetened flax or almond milk and frozen blueberries. This maca destroys the whole delicious shake and all I can taste is maca. I tried adding yogurt into it too, but again, only maca flavor. So here's my discovery if you want to to force this down your throat and get the benefits. I mixed it in about a cup of unsweetened almond milk with a good dose of real vanilla extract. The vanilla cuts the maca flavor dramatically (didn't work when vanilla was added in the protein maca shake though). A little cinnamon can help too. Bottomline - its a good product, I have high hopes for its effects, but you either have to acclimate to the flavor or get creative. Its worth it.

Love This in My Smoothies!
I absolutely love Navitas Organics Maca Powder! I’ve been adding it to my smoothies and it’s made a noticeable difference; not just in taste but in how balanced and energizing they feel. It blends in so smoothly and adds a warm, nutty flavor that pairs well with everything from bananas to berries. What really makes this a staple in my routine is the nutrition profile. Maca is packed with adaptogens, which help support energy and manage stress naturally. It’s also a great source of vitamin C, iron, and plant-based protein-perfect for giving your smoothie a real nutrient kick without overpowering it. This powder makes my smoothies feel more complete, more nourishing, and I honestly feel more balanced and energized throughout the day. If you’re looking to boost your wellness in an easy, delicious way...this is it!

High quality but the taste really takes some getting used to!
When I purchased this product on Oct. 30, 2014, it was $21.49. I see that it is now listed as $70.45! Let me say upfront that there is NO WAY I would have paid that much, although my local health food store is also charging a ridiculously high price. So I'm taking off one star for the new price, and one other star for the taste. This is the first time that I have purchased Maca power but I am sure this is the real deal. The texture is fine and even. It is "gelatinized" which means it has been processed in such a way that it doesn't upset your stomach. It didn't upset my stomach, but eaten straight and plain, it tastes like cigarette ashes. Not good at all. I was regretting my purchase even at $21.49 per pound, but when I saw the new higher price I decided to give it another go. This time I mixed it with cocoa powder and added it to my smoothie, with bananas, macadamia nuts, ice, water, kale and a little sugar. The taste was HIGHLY improved when I mixed it with cocoa powder. Still. I tried to serve hot cocoa with a bit of maca powder to my boyfriend and he did not care for it at all! I am thinking of using my capsule machine and just making capsules out of the remaining powder rather than trying to mix it in with stuff in the future. But I haven't completely decided.
