I TOTALLY recommend this product, I use the Curling Cream too and the difference is the texture they leave on your hair. This seems to keep the "wet look" a bit longer, when my hair dries looks awesome! No flakes, no sticky, not crunchy... I have try a lot of other products and this is on my TOP 5. And the scent!!!! OMG!!!!! Really is AMAZING!! I have what is called 3A-3B hair... like I am in the middle of it =)) and this product works like a charm!

I loved this product. A little went a long way. I did exactly like the instructions and my curls were popping. Defined, hydrated and held. Got lots of compliments on the turn out. I do use the African pride pre shampoo, followed by mielle rosemary mint shampoo and conditioner and then I used this product along with denman brush. It was lovely even when I woke up the next day and the day after that too. Think I found a driver product.

Let me brag on this gel!!! I tried this product on a whim. After seeing an influencer use it on IG I wanted to try the whole line but at the time it was hard to find all the products in one place. After gathering from about 4 dif retailers, I was able to get my hands on the full line. Yet the only product that stood out to me was the gel. A little about my hair regimen: I am a one and done product kind of girl; I hate piling on leave ins, creams, oils, gels, serums etc. My hair is full in density, but fine, and low porosity so it doesn't respond well to that. My hair prefers gel stylers over cream ones. The most product I'll use on a wash n go is a leave in, styler and oil my scalp throughout the week when necessary. I don't refresh my wash n go...once it looses definition and shine I just wash or co wash and start fresh. I like my wash n gos to have movement, shine, definition, last at least 5 days and be able to pineapple at night, wake in the am shake, fluff and go. I have tried countless gels, at least 50, over the past 3 years looking for ones that are going to do what it says it's suppose to do on my hair: moisturize, define and hold without the crunch. Most leave my hair too crunchy, too soft, dry, not defined enough, or stiff. Thankfully I have come across a handfull that are just right for me: Kinky Curly Custard, Taliah Wajiid Gello, Curls Blueberry Bliss Jelly, a discontinued line of gel that's no use in naming :( and now this! My hair absolutely loves this Gel n Cream! I have bra strap length 4a-c hair and use this for wash n gos, which I mostly wear. With this product alone I get, shiny, defined, touchable hair for 7-10 days. Yes I said it up to 10 days! Initially my hair has a very light cast from the gel which I don't break since it's so light and my hair looks good on day 1 plus I know this light cast is going to allow the hold I need for lasting definition. For some reason I don't even get an itchy scalp throughout the week with this product, strangely fantastic! It has enough hold that I can use it to style my edges too. And of course as my hair gets more volumous I just get more compliments :) I also love the smell, it's like a warm island coconut scent. Not too strong, I usually smell it in my hair for the first 3-4 days and then the scent fades. Why 4 stars instead of 5 then? Three reasons that have nothing to do with the product itself but the manufacturing. 1. Hair gel in a tube is annoying. Getting the last of the gel out of the tube is a pain and a mess. But I can deal. 2. Amazon is the only place I can get my hands on this item. Which is well enough but I have to buy in bulk because if Amz is ever out of stock I have no alternatives. I can find other products from this line at other retailers, yet the gel is the only product not available anywhere else online or near me. This also makes me fear the product might be discontinued or something. 3. The price seems low for the gel right now BUT! I only get about 1.5 wash n gos out of every tube, that's a no bueno since it ends up not being such a great value for the money. On top of that the price fluctuates every time I order. The first time I bought this on Amz the item was 11 bucks, second was 6.90, now it's increased a dollar. They need to decide a price and stick to it. If the tube is going to remain this size stick to the lower price of 6. Or up the price and increase the size of the tube. Most of the gels I've fallen in love with are about double this price but I also get at least 5 wash n gos out of them. Hence the 4 stars. I'll still buy this product as it has become one of my fav stylers. But because of value I won't consistently use it, I'll have it in a rotation so I'm not running out quickly and buying it every other week.

As a curly girl (white woman age 52 with greying hair) this is a great everyday product. It defines curls and dries soft while maintaining my curls. It takes a while to figure out the amount you need based on your hair length and thickness, but eventually you get it just right. You can also dilute with a little water to make an even application.

This product work well with my hair texture it helps control the frizz and moisturize my hair.

Y'all!!!! I'm shook. So let me preface this with I have been a straight haired natural for a decade... Which left me with nearly bone straight hair throughout the majority of my head. I'm so done with heat. Gave away all my products and tools that had anything to do with straight hair. My hair is near the small of my back so the thought of a big chop hurt me to my core especially since hair like my mom's is all I have left of her. Any who... Lots of Aphogee Curlific, Aphogee Protein Treatment and Olaplex has brought back some curls to my lifeless hair. I don't want twist outs, or braid outs, I want wash and go but with my kinky roots and straight and wavy ends I figured it would be out of the question. Naptural85 on YouTube said you have to find a product that will work on all textures of your hair. Enter this gel n creme. My roots are tamed, and my ends are coming in as ringlets. African Pride, you slayed with this one! I did go over it with some homemade flaxseed gel but this is the only thing that has made curly beauty come from my hair. I'm so pissed at how much I've spent on other products that did nothing but disappoint. Word of caution, you will use between half to all of the whole tube in one wash n go. But still totally worth it

I most buy more light on my hair as well smell amazing what happened to the three pack Amazon sold out .This the only product that curls for 4c curls wish they would bring back the three pack nothing else work this magic for my hair

I bought this as an easy and fast purchase to travel with to keep my 3C curls looking their best and not carrying the cream/pudding and other products. This is a great product. It's like having the cream or hair pudding and hair gel combined. I used this alone on my hair and it kept my curls looking great on my recent trip. I will now be buying this product more often for my hair.
