Perfection for stubborn dogs
This underground fencing is great. I have used this same style 3 times now on different areas I have lives. Works great, just be sure to have the main box in an area to keep dry and safe. The wire is thin so be be careful when weeding or mowing. If you break the line the alarm will start beeping and it will be as though the dogs are being 'warned' and will make them believe they re in trouble when in fact they are not. Collars last quite a while on a single charge. The collars flash green when charged. After you unplug them from charging, you will have to turn them on. I do it out of dogs ear shot because they do beep and again the dogs will think they are in trouble. Wish the turning on beep was different than the in trouble beep. Light weight and easy to use. Multiple settings vibrate, buzz, shock. I have mine on buzz. Works perfectly. Good value.

Effective at keeping dogs where they are supposed to be
I have bought this product for each property I've owned and always works wonderfully. Easy to install and collars are easy to set up. Collars battery lasts a whole month. Which is less worry of my dogs getting out. Though expensive I believe it's worth the cost to keep my dogs safe. When I got my first one it took about three weeks to train my dogs to know the boundary.

Game changer for our furry family
Those negative reviews are just untrue. I purchased this June 2020 (it's now July 2022). The product has been flawless. We 'fence' about 1.3 acres which took 1/2 a day. I trained my 2 hunting breed dogs over a 3-4 week period before having unlimited roaming access without me supervising them. In 2 years, we had 1 incident where my Bluetick left the yard and it was because the collar was not on (husband forgot to turn it on). When on, NOTHING will convince them to leave. I mean Deer, Turkeys, other Dogs, Cats, Raccoons etc... you name it. They have such a strong prey drive, but with enough training with this system, they have been perfect. They will run up right to their boundary and howl but never cross. In 2 years, we have not changed the battery yet. It definitely does not have the 2 month life span anymore, but we get a good week or so before we need to re-charge now. This is with HEAVY use of the product. They wear their collars from around 7a-7p ish. We will likely be changing the battery soon. We did have to by extra copper wire, but just got the 20g at lowes for $20 and did not buy the brand stuff. It works well with a solid splice job. Reason's others may have issues with it working I am not sure. Maybe check their installation job? We mounted ours in the garage next to the fuse box and ran it out a window. It is next to a large metal welding machine and it does not interfere. Disclaimer: I did have the original pet safe underground fence about 15 years ago. It did not work as well for my 2 dogs at the time. However, I admit I did not spend the time to go through the training like I should have. Follow the instructions and give your dogs time. You will not regret the extra training in the long run.

Great design, but kit pieces need improvement
This is my second invisible fence install. The controller and collar core work great. Installation and operating instructions are very well done. But I have two complaints & improvements to consider: 1. one of the 2 cheap cardboard spools that held the green wire fell apart during install. We ended up with a total rats nest of wire, despite best efforts to keep the wire untangled. This added more than an extra hour and a lot of frustration to our DIY install. 2. The collar straps come in only one long length. We are using this kit for two puppies, so for now each collar has a long end that hangs out. The puppies can't resist chewing it up, tucked up or not, and they especially like going after each other's collar. A shorter collar with a replaceable longer strap for when the pups get large would be much preferred. The Co apparently sells replacement straps, but for the price of the kit and extra collar, including an extra strap for each collar would have been most welcome

Stay home, Mia!
Our husky ignored our 6’ fence and escaped several times. Two reminder shocks and she totally respects the fence. She is now confidently safe at home.

Deeply unhappy with the results
I figured I'd try this while we're waiting to put an actual fence in. Feeling like I completely wasted my time. Right now, my biggest complaints with the system is wild inconsistency with triggering distances. In one part it triggers 10+ feet away. In a different section, it doesn't even trigger on top of the line. Some places randomly jump to shock while others never trigger at all, even if I'm 4 inches away from the line. * Big surprise to learn you need to run a dedicated wire from the transmitter box to your house's ground stake UNLESS you spend more money on the ground plug. This is buried in the instructions * The wall wart is massive. * The wall wart cable is ridiculously short * The terminal for the power supply is terrible. Directional, but constantly falling out. * The collar charger cable is ridiculously short * The entire transmitter box is unnecessarily large. You can see that it's basically just a 4x6 circuit board inside. Why is the grounding and wall wart electronics not built in? Why doesn't it just use a 3 prong cable? * Transmitter box cannot be installed outside AND should not be installed on a GFCI circuit. That rules out most of the easily accessible outlets, including garage. * Collar came completely dead. Not the end of the world, but annoying to be almost done then have to wait for it to charge. * Layout and design is much more restrictive than I anticipated. Ended up looping around the house (and under the driveway) to avoid giving up massive amounts of my backyard. Things that I did like: * Plenty of wire provided * Despite other's complaints, wire is sturdy. * The splicing caps are good. Better than another brand I bought * Two spools made it a bit more manageable to work with.

This is just the best thing! We went from running after our Bichon around the neighbourhood to not even thinking about where he is when he is outside. He goes outside whenever he wants, we do not need to lead him out on a leash, I do not need to go with him and that is perfect for me and my family! We love our Bichon and this has just made it so much less stressful having a pet in a residential area. Also life saving for our Bichon, no more running across the street at unpredictable times.

Little labor goes a long way. Completely buried the wire - even in the woods to keep the critters from chewing. Very easy to hook up and install. Dog responded within first couple corrections. Now responds immediately at the warning beeps. Sits and watches the squirrels from the barrier zone. Follow the training directions in the booklet from start to finish and unless your dog is super stubborn, all should be good. Not sure on battery life yet - only been a couple weeks. So far, 100% satisfied 👍🏻

I installed this on our cottage property and had it up and running in about 6 hours. The training was easy to follow and the dogs understood the boundaries quite easily. The rechargeable collar is wonderful as it stays charged for a long time. The only thing I didn't like was the wire is only 20 gauge and is quite flimsy - there was a lot of rock and the wire has to stay above ground. Perhaps 20 gauge is adequate if you can bury it completely. Also when I opened the packaging one wire spool had come apart during transport and was quite difficult to roll out. I ended up rewinding onto a plastic spool and discovered many breaks in the wire covering so I could not use the defective wire. The other spool fell apart while unrolling so it seems to be a poor design. I plan to replace all the wire with 14 gauge next year as I don't expect that the flimsy wire will survive the winter exposed.

Bought this additional collar for when I have other dogs visiting. (I already had the sportdog system and one collar.) Worked perfect right out of the box.

Both spools of wire were unusable due to several breaks in the coating. Purchased over a year ago and only installing now so no help available. 500$ system and now I need to purchase another 1000 feet of wire.
