Alexander von Humboldt Botanical Illustrations: 22 Pull-Out Posters

This is a beautiful and historically important book. I bought one as a gift for a teenager and one for my library.

I feel now I have some wonderfully edited an published art of Humbodt in my personal library. The size of the images are ideal to frame if you want.

Illustrations are very nice and paper’s quality is good

I often wondered about von Humboldt's skills as a botanical artist, and clearly, he mastered this area of science as well. Clearly, Prestel has given us another fine gift as it new that Readers had this question. So they published this beautiful sampling of this aspect of von Humboldt's works in this fine companion to its book.

For the price, the quality of the paper and the vibrancy of the colors is great. Do note the size of the paper as if you want to use a standard size frame with a mat (16 x 20 with a mat opening for an 11 x 14), you'll have to finagle the paper a bit to fit in the opening.

Glossy, beautiful pages that are SO easy to tear out and frame!

Gorgeous pictures, 10.5 by 14 in. Really good for framing, heavy card stock. These items are very expensive normally. This is an amazing deal!

An absolutely beautiful collection of drawings, and thankfully the pages are very easy to remove for framing. I'm so pleased with this purchase!
