Best map gas tip to have .
Works great . Better than the bernzomatic. Better even burn . Trusted brand . Last one lasted 6 years before I had to take apart to clean . Very durable.

Professionals tool!!
I do professional plumbing and this is my go too all the time! A little expensive for a DIY’er but definitely worth it for a professional or someone who has to have the best!

Great torch, self ignition is convenient and it heats up very quickly
This torch is great! I have a benzomatic torch similar to this one that stopped being able to ignite. After replacing it once before, I decided to upgrade to this one. WOW! What a difference, this is very well constructed and the sparking piezo ignition is great for simplicity. It heats up the items i’m Working with quickly and is really a turbo jet. The regulator is also a great tool to have as I can attach a different turbo torch nozzle I purchased for detail work to it and have more versatility. I highly recommend this product as the valve and or replacement end purchased separately would be the same price.

Pivoting head
The pivoting head is a game changer, the striker is a bonus.

I bought another one; it's well worth it.
My 1st Turbo Torch is perhaps 3-4yrs old, and has had (so far) a busy life performing many jobs. -Thawing frozen pipes/lines. Rural/farm folks know that "frost-free" 5'/6' hydrants will freeze @ handle/lever. So, 1-2mins of torch heat to the area gets your H2O tap flowing, and the livestock squared away. Cold snap hydration for most livestock is as important as heat wave hydration. -Lighting woodstove kindling quickly w/o paper, or avoid a smoked up room by priming a cold chimney/stovepipe by pushing cold air column up & out just prior to lighting. -Heating metals for rust/paint removal, fully driving out moisture before applying treatments, warming it up for application of epoxy, et al. -Melting ends up poly ropes to prevent unwinding of cut ends. Works for smaller poly/plastic cords; even the indispensable 550, et al. -Killing weeds that grow in stonework; like walkways or brickwork. -Plumbing (or other types of) soldering, although on several homeowner-sized jobs (ie; not giant commercial/industrial pipework), it's nearly too big for tight quarters handywork, IMO. ...And probably a dozen more odd jobs I've used my TurboTorch for over the last few years. It's long since lost it's nice, golden brass shine. Today, its dull brown-orange, w/ many spots of well-earned green verdigris. The flow control knob is still as smooth as day one... ...This torch has been dropped dozens of times. It's fallen from ladders a couple times. It's lived in an uninsulated toolshed or barn 90% of its life, whether below freezing or over 100° for days on end, the torch fires first click every single time. I should also add that the brass tip is present but has dents & multiple scars. But brass is soft-- and hot brass is really soft! Don't run it low-flame, and you'll avoid my issue. Some models evidently have steel tips if you require that. Anyway - when I saw the TurboTorch kit on a web ad, I recalled how good the torch has been to me and I bought another. The new one is identical to my first. I'm looking forward to many years of service life between those two torches.

Well-built and easy to use in odd spaces
I think you could solder up to 1 1/4" copper with this, maybe more, although I've only used it up to 3/4". I would confidently use it on 1" if I had to. Otherwise, I'd go with acetylene. The model without the ignitor is more aesthetic, but less functional. The swiveling head makes this a dream for tight or odd spaces, which most solder joints seem to be. There was only one time I had to use a torch with a flexible hose when I was trying to avoid lighting a fire below a bathroom wall while soldering a PEX adapter. That was the only situation where this torch didn't work, despite its versatility. It's still my favorite, but having a small caliber torch with a flexible hose (for professionals) is also highly desirable. Happy plumbing!

Incredible Torch
I have owned a couple of "big box store" torches over the years that have done the job. This torch is engineered so well that the flame burns without sputter and produces an incredibly hot flame. Heating up the solder point is amazingly fast. Yes, the price is slightly higher that the competition but don't let that small difference impact your decision. This is a tool that will last a lifetime. Buy it!

Professional grade torch. You will hear all about the higher priced MAPP (now MAP Pro, not the same anymore). But let me tell you something, this torch, combined with a bottle of camping propane is all you need, until you get into 2" and above, just have to open up more as you are going up in pipe size. So unless you are using a B tank (acetylene), save your money and get this torch. It pivots on the fly to get around corners. Also, you can (depending on hand size) grab by the valve body and use thumb and index finger to adjust gas valve on the fly. Camping gas bottles are fatter and bottom heavy, so they won't tip over as easily when placed down, and most importantly, can find them on sale in bulk; and it's the same propane as the blue bottles.
