Don't need a Teavana run for same sweetener
Totally comparable to Teavana's rock crystal sugar -- I couldn't have told the difference in either look or taste. So if you're a fan of Teavana's preferred sweetener but don't want to run to the mall this is a perfect substitute. Thus far I've only used it in tea (you drop the crystals right in with your loose tea leaves -- pre water -- so that the sugar dissolves *while* the tea is steeping, in theory flavoring the tea leaves themselves), but I think it'd be a very good sweetener, with a much richer and more complex flavor profile than even typical brown sugar, in anything hot. (Alas, I'd guess it'd be wasteful to try to sweeten something cold with it -- can't imagine it'd dissolve much.)

Disappointed
There is not much of a taste to this sugar. I've been trying to ween myself off of Teavana's rock sugar, in hopes for a cheaper fix. But this sugar is quite disappointing. I find myself putting more sugar then the usually amount for my sweetness level in my coffee.

My fist experience with this type of sweetner
These took a long time to be delivered which is the only down side. I cut out my major coffee drinking last year and only have maybe 3 or 4 cups a month. I decided to try these in coffee and the taste was outstanding. Now I drink much more tea and use very little sweetener and it is usually honey. These take a few minutes to melt while stirring but it made my tea taste very good can't put my finger on the taste it just taste better than sugar almost good as my honey. I will buy this again.

Sort of Moist
I was hoping to find rock sugar crystals that are hard and slowly melt in tea or coffee. If that's what you are looking for, these will probably disappoint. The package I got had crystals that were somewhat "moist" (for lack of better description). Once in coffee or tea, they dissolve immediately. The flavor is not as nice as some other brands. I won't buy this brand again, but if these things don't bother you, then you will probably be happy.

Wonderful for your tea and just as good as Teavana's without the high price!
This is fantastic brown sugar for your tea, cocoa or coffee and it comes in a great storage ziplock bag or you can use the glass jar sold at Teavana and put it there. It has the same taste, quality and dissolubility as the mall store. But it is currently just a little bit below the Teavana price without the long drive. With Amazon.Prime you can order 3 bags and get it shipped free and it will fill your Teavana canister to the brim. If you order 6 you can have a whole canister in reserve. This is great product! I recommend putting some in the tea pot before pouring the hot water so it melts on contact (providing you and your guests like presweetened tea).

COMPARABLE TO TEAVANA ROCK SUGAR!!!!
Ok I'm an avid Teavana drinker and I am hooked on their rock sugar!! I usually get it here on Amazon it is an add on item for $8.50 for 1lb. Which is very convenient because I don't have to make a trip to the mall. So when it was unavailable on here I was looking for a replacement. I read the reviews for this product and someone said that its comparable to the German rock sugar from Teavana. I thought why not let me give it a try. Let me tell you that they were right. Its the same rock sugar from Teavana the only difference I would say is that the crystals are a bit smaller.
