Fantastic old school gesso. Its not thick, because non acrylic based gesso isn't supposed to be! I have 6 coats of this on my newly prepped Lancaster, with sanding between each.. smooth as silk! Thank you. Worth the $$ .

I originally was looking for Gesso by a Brand name company but all of those were either sold out or in too big of a size. Then I found this. I have never heard of Mont Marte before (maybe it has been around long?). And so after thinking about it and reading reviews I chose to buy it. Right size, right price. I am truly suprised at how good this Gesso is. The best part no bad smell. I feel it will last a long time due to size and that you don't really need to use a huge amount. The quality is great to me. And ease of use total A from me. I do prefer bottles but this jar will suit my needs perfectly.

I usually buy liquetex basic but this one had a good price so I thought I would try it . For basic coverage and mixing it’s great ! I will buy again

I thought I had tried this before but it wasn’t as thick as I like it it is still a great product I just like the texture thicker

This stuff is beautiful. Creamy and covers in one coat. I will definitely buy it again. Very happy with this purchase.

Works well. Dries fast. I’m happy with it.

Works well but paint dries easily around the top making it hard to open. Put it on some warm water to loosen the paint if this happens.
