Loved this book! It was very helpful and thorough. It is a great book to use when I need to look up something fast. It is organized well and had everything I needed in it.

This is a handy book for writers and editors, and I also highly recommend it for anyone interested in the topic and subject matter. It has been a lifesaver for me, personally, and it always makes a great gift!

Got it second-hand here, only minor cover issues, otherwise it's in perfect condition to be used! I've looked over the content before, so I'm excited to have it in a size bigger than my e-book. Half the book has exercises, and the other half has rather detailed answers, which is exactly what I needed.

Basic English should be understood before undertaking any book. This is a general editing and writing guide as well as a self editing book, and the basics are pretty basic. If you have the Chicago Manual of Style and a good command of the English Language, you may still wish to look this over, even if you don't use the lessons included. It shows the pitfalls and the expectations of the editorial styles. As far as step by step publishing guide, it's not. It's an editing tutorial. Be mindful of your own goals: self publishing, online publishing through a company, or print publisher, what levels of editing does the work need (this it addresses in some specific ways), and technical aspects (which it addresses well). It's a good overall reference book for those who want to be copy editors, or have the position of copy editor in their business.

If you're serious about becoming a top-level editor, reviser, copyreader, etc. -- get this. It's at least a semester or two, or four, of intense work, but you'll grow and grow while putting in the work. This is the best book of its kind I've seen, and I'm old.

This book is an essential resource for copyeditors, no matter which style guide you use. Information is presented in an easy-to-understand and occasionally humorous way. The exercises in the workbook are especially helpful for practicing the methods and concepts in the handbook.

It's a great reference for all the things I have questions about when writing technical documents. I have tabbed it and will keep it around long after my class ends.

This is an excellent resource for anyone starting out as a copy editor. It is well written and provides guidance on the various aspects of a copy editor's role, as well as a lot of explanation of grammar and punctuation.

Found it to be a very useful resource and easy to read. The production quality of the book is also impressive. If you are a writer or an editor, you will find this a very good addition to your library.

This came very fast but what a disappointment it was - a dirty book with weird black stains all over, and back cover corner was folded over. This was supposed to be present but gifting this to anyone would be an insult. I requested a replacement book immediately after seeing this mess. I'm praying that the replacement book will be in a better condition.

It was just what I needed to thrive.

Imprescindible
