It's better than carrying your guitar around unprotected. The padding is ok, about what you'd expect and the price is right. I usually buy hardshell cases when I need one but I have a Firefly FFLGS (SG style) that won't fit in a standard SG case. It fits in this gig bag, but it's a tight fit lengthwise. This is a gig bag, you can expect it to be lightweight, easy to store and carry, protect your git from minor bumps and dings but if it gets run over by a truck, smashed between or under heavy gear, or dropped at a bad angle your git is probably going to be damaged.

I had a hard time finding the right bag for my guitaleles. Baritone ukulele bags are a couple inches too big (30-32in). This 28in Donner bag fits my Yamaha GL1 Guitaleles perfectly! It's a sturdy, well-padded bag with two roomy pockets, strong zippers and durable stitching. I got one for each of my guitaleles! If you need a bag for your GL1, this is it!
