Best repair liquid
This worked great on my car .I would highly recommend this product.

Exactly what I needed for a project
This was used on a custom made mailbox sign. It would have cost $140 to make a new one with my name on it. I filled over the current name with this and placed the lettering for my name over top. It dries rock hard and is bonded to the aluminum surface. I expect this will weather extremely well. I would recommend having acetone on hand to thin it out for a project like I did. I mixed the filler with acetone to get a thinner consistency that would dry smooth. Since I used acetone I am not sure if the product itself needed a well ventilated area or not. Great purchase that will last a long time.

Works well. Be careful with cleanup.
I am 1) impressed with one aspect of this product and 2) annoyed by another. I am a homeowner fixing up my house through painstaking research, trial and error, and more than expected trips to the hardware store. I am impressed that this product, UNLIKE competing ones, provided instructions on how to clean up excess material and get it off your tools. This is crucial information which other products exclude. The answer, printed clearly on this product is: use acetate. So far so good. 2) but here is the annoying part. I had never used acetate before. I didn’t know that it would remove paint nearly instantly from everything it touched. Including the aluminum siding I was trying to patch and a metal table where I set the dripping can. Now, this is not this product’s fault. I’m sure an expert would know what surfaces acetate can touch without damaging. But it would have been extremely nice, however, if the instructions for this product could have mentioned just a sentence more about the solvent used to clean up after it. Something like “be careful and read label, will damage painted surfaces” would have gotten my attention enough to prevent these minor disasters. Taking both 1) and 2) together, I would say to the makers of this: good start on documentation, but please consider holding the user’s hand a tiny bit more.

Dried smooth and clean and filled the gaps in my metal crafts.
Worked well for the application I needed it for. It took quite a while to completely cure. But it did the job. Not sure exactly what else this would be used for, But I used it in a metal craft, and it was used to smooth and fill an area and is just for looks, so strength was not a factor. It was quite smelly, but as soon as it dried, that was completely gone.

Good quality product but becomes useless once opened since it dries out fast.
This is a really good quality product for filling metal patches. The biggest problem is that after the tube is used for the first time, the rest will dry out fast making the rest of it useless. Permatex should think of a better packaging.

Seems to work well
Bought a trailer, used this after drilling holes in the fender for the license plate. It seems to have filled the hole and seal the drilled holes protecting them from corrosion.

We use it in our industrial works. Needs to be ideally mixed with another agent for optimum output

Great stuff, just like weld but takes a while to set up.

used to fill in cracks on metal rims before I paint them

First time I used it it was a little runny which was disappointing but after one use it is now more of a pliable solid substance. It dries nice and hard and is sandable. The ones you have to mix are stronger when dry but this is just a bit easier to use.
