Revell 05804 22.3 cm R.M.S. Titanic Model Kit

Great Titanic model kit. Got this for my son since hes into Titanic stuff right now. This is a model kit that needs to be painted and glued together. The kit is molded in white. Definitely requires some skill to put together and delicate once completed like typical models. Overall, hes happy to have it.

poor fit on parts, poor instructions and to many small parts that could not even be picked up with a tweezers

I got this for my six year old boy because he loves putting things together, and the Titanic is his new obsession. I knew it was going to be small seeing as how it is on a scale of 1/1200, but I didn't realize just how darn small that was until it came. The ship itself, once constructed, is no longer than the length of a woman's small hand. Any of the pieces that were to put together were way too tiny and his grandfather had to do most of it. So it wasn't the success I had hoped for. He still plays with it, but it is too small to appreciate any of the details, and we found a much larger version that he got for Christmas and that one is much for interesting for him to play with. I wouldn't say this was a bad item, just not good for a young child who loves details and wants to do it by themselves.

Instructions are easy to follow. Object is to follow them, go step by step and to go slowly. It arrived a day early, and was well packed. For a Titanic enthusias/historian, this is a great addition to your collection or shelf.

Its a very good version of this ship. Only missing little pieces but important for imaginary of this legendary boat…!, the handrails…, but and most of all prepared to a long task if you want to do it like the image at the box, so this is not a model for beginners.

This is very nice, incredibly detailed model of the Titanic, however, it is tiny. Even looking at the dimensions before ordering, I didn't fully visualize how small it is, which leads to a few problems. 1. Without tweezers and a magnifying glass, it is nearly impossible to assemble, though I would imagine most advanced modelers would have these, but it really isn't geared towards those people/kids. 2. Cutting the parts out can be challenging, even with a sharp exacto knife. Take your time. I type this with a bandaged finger from trying to shave off the nubs from some of the pieces. 3. Painting. Once again, incredibly tiny parts that are very difficult to paint. Paint most of them before you cut them out, the touch them up afterwards. Make sure you have very small paint brushes, not the Testor ones that come with the paint kits, they don't work. The plastic parts seem a little flimsy to me, but for the parts to fit together nicely. Overall, it's very detailed and looks nice, however I think if I would put together another one, I'd grab one twice this size. It's too small.

My young nephew absolutely loved this model kit and kept him gainfully entertained for hours. When he finished he had a real sense of accomplishment as he created his very own ship. They're not supposed to be toys but they sure do make for a good time in a pool!

当初から1番艦オリンピックとは別で作り分けできるように 設計されたらしく、異なる箇所は別パーツに なっています。 アカデミーは船体が一体型でしたが、 こちらは船体は左右貼りつけ方式で、サイズは一緒ですが、 部品割は全く異なります。アカデミーの方は船体が黒、 木甲板が木の色と塗りやすく？なっているのに 対してレベルの方は白一色ですね。艦底部等を 塗るならこの方が塗りやすいかも。 船体は外板の貼り付けが表現されており、 細かさは同等レベル。ただしアカデミーの方は舷窓の開口が多く 夜間の照明仕様には向いているかも。レベルの方は船底部分も 外板貼り付け部分の再現がされており、より一層リアルです。 出来は良好です。WLにする のには船体形状上、向いていません。張り線等が付属して いる点は評価できます。初心者にはアカデミー版タイタニックを 勧めます。やや作りやすいかと。塗装なしでもある程度見れる外見は 素晴らしいです。ただしやはり木甲板色に構造物が成形されている箇所も あるので、気になる方は手を入れた方がいいかと。 上級者にはレベル版を推奨します。僅差で細かさで優っている感があります。

Simplemente exelente, muy fácil de montar y eso que yo soy un manazas y me estrenaba con esta maqueta, la pinte con pintura acrilica normal y pegamento instantáneo para plástico, muy barato y entretenido, la pega es que me la esperaba más grande.

Barco para Armar, demasiado pequeño y no trae nada para pegar las piezas. Demasiado caro para lo que es y el tamaño.

It’s a nice, sweet and small model ship. According to my six year old who is quite the expert on the Titanic (he certainly knows more than me), it’s an accurate replica. He loves it. Re durability, it is a small model and so it is quite fragile and delicate. My son uses it a bit roughly as a toy but that way, he has lost a few features. Can’t fault the model for that.
