I have a teenager and she has lots of teenage friends. When I get home from work in the evening, I’m often greeted by a jumbled pile of Adidas All Star trainers, with their yellowing shell toes and pungent sweaty odour. When these trainers are damp, they somehow smell even worse. I’d become nose blind and hadn’t realised quite how bad it was until I had a chap come round to talk to me about some work on the house. One spray in each shoe seems to do the job and the effect lasts a couple of weeks before you have to respray. It doesn’t smell like a nasty scented air freshener, it smells of… nothing? I keep it in the porch ready to go. The teenager tells me she’s much less embarrassed to take off her shoes for dance and drama at school now. It makes the shoes feel fresher too, somehow.
