Q: So I can use this instead of chlorine correct

This is sodium dichlor. When used as directed, it will keep your chlorine ppm around 1.5 to 2.0. It also resists uv breakdown like a liquid chlorine. It also had cyranic acid which is a stabilizing agent. Basically it creates a mineral water in your pool. No chlorine smell. No dried skin. I use 6oz’s a day in my 30,000 gallon pool with a weekly copper based algeside. My water is always crystal clear and easy on the skin. 25 pounds lasts me 66 days.

yes, premix with water so there is no residual at the bottom of the pool

Q: Is it fast dissolving so I can scatter it directly in the pool?

Yes it dissolves quite quickly. Probably within a minute and you can see it begin to dissolve as soon as it hits the water.

Q: What do I do when all test levels show too low or high?

I start with PH level then adjust each a little at a time, if the chlorine is too high I let it go and it eventually goes down
