Capturing the essence of Lohri for all ages!
"The Bonfire Festival" successfully educates children about the rich cultural heritage and traditions associated with Lohri, dating back to the fifteenth century. The book's multi-lingual approach makes it a valuable resource for parents and educators seeking to introduce young readers to diverse languages and customs. The illustrations vividly bring to life the festive atmosphere, showcasing the bonfire, traditional attire, and the warmth of togetherness during Lohri. The incorporation of Romanized Punjabi transliteration at the end of the book is a thoughtful touch, aiding readers in pronouncing the Punjabi words.

Great for educating our little 2 year old about her ...
Great for educating our little 2 year old about her Punjabi heritage. I love the English and Punjabi. My daughter loves the songs in the back. I wish there was a CD with music to sing these songs with. That would be an awesome addition and I know we would enjoy those songs in the car!

Absolutely fantastic, it’s very hard to find good explanations of Sikh/Punjabi culture. This has more information than most. It’s written in English, Punjabi scroll and Punjabi/English so if you can’t read Punjabi you can still pronounce it in Punjabi. Brilliant I can’t praise it enough! Please write more on all the Sikh/Punjabi occasions. Brilliant!!!
