I love the smell and it's a great idea, but my ladies and guineas were not fond of it, they tore it up and decided to lay their eggs on the ground instead, only a couple liked it. Sad because it was a good idea, some chickens may like it, if introduced from the start, possibly.

I bought these nesting pads to use instead of the regular fiber ones I usually get because I heard that herbs can prevent mites and bugs and leave the nests fresher. My hens had these torn to bits within 24 hours! When they arrange the nest to lay the pads are scratched apart into pieces, the eggs ended up on the floor of the nesting box without any padding whatsoever. So they were the most expensive (although nice smelling) nesting pads I have ever purchased since they only lasted one day! I wouldn't buy them again.

Do not buy this product. In one day my chickens tore holes in these trying to lay eggs, they are now laying in random spots because these are so flat!

I should have paid attention to the reviews! These pads are terrible. They fell apart within 24 hours and left fibers stuck to my eggs. I had planned on hatching some out but can't because I would have to wash the eggs prior to putting in the incubator. I'll go back to the sturdier fiber and add my own herbs beneath them.

Wonderful and the chicks love them. Easy cleanup and all natural. THis is a re order. Will stay with this product until they are old enough to go outside...and even then, may get these just to treat them again.

Update: i have ordered these 2 more time# to update all my coops. I really like the material they are made of. The chickens like the, also. You just have to fluff them apart a little if the hens bunch them up. I really liked these nest box pads. They are softer than the other type. They smell wonderful and the chickens love them.

Well..I love this product but my chickens did give 2 s..ts about it lol. They poooop at top of it , and ripped to pieces .
