As a Spaniard living in the UK for the last 15 years, buying ibérico products around here has always been a hassle. I've often paid outrageous prices (up to £200/kg of pata negra ham at some shop in central London) and the quality of the meat wasn't always up to par. As a consequence, suffering of severe ibérico withdrawal symptoms, I've used every holiday in Spain as an excuse to come back loaded with chorizos, lomos and as many little packages of vacuum-packed ibérico ham as I could fit in my suitcase. That's a hassle of a different kind because I like traveling light. Buying my ibérico products online feels like an obvious choice for me and I have to say this ham from The Black Hoof has been a revelation: fast delivery, great price, the right amount of fat and most importantly, the nutty flavour and the melt-in-your-mouth texture of a good ibérico ham.

I had to throw it to the bin, the ham was not properly cured. They rushed to put it in the market. Shame on the responsible!

You expect a lot of fat on these legs but over 50% of the weight seems excessive. Meat was delicious just wasn’t much of it after you allowed for the bone on top of the fat!

The image they advertise says 75% Iberico. Nowhere in the project description they state otherwise, however, the one that arrived was marked as 50%. Price-wise it's closer to the 50% indeed, but they effectively lie in the description/image. Flavour is good, though, definitely better then non-black-hoof varieties.

Well dried jamon,nice taste I liked. Its not 100% pata negro,some 50% raza :) but its good ham worth a price! Sorry, I forgot to add.,a lot of fat,really a lot,maybe half or even more fat.,but at least fat and ham delicious. Lucky you if get 2kg of ham,that's 50£ per kg not cheap

I was born and raised in between Huelva, Seville and Badajoz, so I'm not a newbie when trying ham. This shoulder is extremely dry and salted. It seems to be over aged to me. I'm not asking for having the same value for money than we have in Spain, because I understand the import costs, but this shoulder is not worth more than 30 quid in my hometown, far from the £114.5 I have paid for it. Disappointed, very disappointed.

I quite like the taste of the product is having the fat is supposed to have to bring the nicest flavour and texture. I saw on other comments how people is complaining about it but I don’t think they understand the product (as a Spanish I do) my only disappointment with it is the fact that it says on the description is free range pigs eating freely on the land but is not a mention or information on the product marking this fact that for me is one of the most important things when I choose jamón o paleta. So it makes me hesitate about it this info is true or not. Apart from that the taste is very good

on opening the packaging of the jamon you could smell straight away what the jamon was like. very good, not too fatty which a lot of paletas are,. Very well priced. will certainly be ordering again. now that we have tried the company may order a full jamon in future.

Completamente contestato , non é 100% iberico ma solo 50% , altro che 18 mesi e più , forse non é nemmeno 12 mesi. Non si riusciva nemmeno a tagliarlo
