Easy enough to fit, though I had to alter the back plate with new holes. As there was a single socket box with mains wiring connections behind the old smoke alarm I needed to increase the new back plate fixing holes pitch to be clear of that socket box. The smoke and carbon monoxide alarm flashes green every 40 seconds to show it is working correctly. This flash is quite bright when it is in a dark area and it cannot be adjusted or turned off. I cannot comment on the efficiency of detection - and I never want!

Good combination of detectors. I am pleased I haven’t had to try it out for real but it does seem to be working. The blinking lights are annoying and a bit creepy. It almost feels like someone is watching you and taking photos! I am sure that isn’t the case, but it’s annoying.

This was recommended by our plumber. Very easy to install, alarm is extremely loud and most of all, it gives us peace of mind which is priceless .

Nice. Quite easy to fit* and simple to use. Battery can't be replaced, mine had an expiry date of 3 months beyond the quoted lifetime. It switches on automatically when attached to the base. * The alignment of the screws is neither horizontal or vertical and not related to the alignment of the alarm when attached - and the base plate has no markers to show whether the alarm will be sitting straight (if mounting vertically). Trial and error putting the screw holes in the right place.

This alarm, in my opinion is far superior to the numerous short lived Kidde alarms I've purchased in the past. It's been in service for several months. Additionally there's an onboard battery that's good for its life expectancy of 10 years.

These are quite hard to review because you only know for certain that it works if there is a fire or carbon monoxide in your property. This hasn't happened, but the general design, functionality and lighting system all looks good. It was also very easy to fit. However, it does run on a 40 second cycle and each time it starts this the light flashes green. My previous smoke alarm has a small red led that lit up maybe every 5 or 10 mins and you'd notice it every so often and you know it's working. This one actually flashes green and lights up the room... it catches your eye and is just too bright and regular to go unnoticed. It's in my hall and still annoys me as I do see it often. It's completely unsuitable for any room that you spend a lot of time in, e.g. bedroom, lounge, kitchen, etc. It's a fundamental flaw of the device and it is so bad every other good feature becomes worthless. I usually read reviews, but saw the high ratings and thought I'd just go for it. Hopefully you'll see this and other similar reviews and buy something else. I'll probably use it for a bit and then buy a better replacement and keep it as a backup.
