I purchased this for my hobbies in geology and archaeology and it has been outstanding - with a couple of caveats. This microscope has no stage, and many of my specimens are too small to see without raising them to the lens, so I had to solve for a workable stage that I could set rocks and other hard sharp objects on. I ended up using a small laboratory jack (Sold on Amazon as well) for the stage allowing me to put a specimen on it and raise it to the approximate required level, and then using the microscope for the final adjustments. This has worked out perfectly. I read about the horizontal rails on a similar model becoming pitted due to being undersized for the bearings rolling against them. With this in mind, I always carefully apply upward force to the heavy end before rolling it and have seen no pitting. No sense taking any chances - I want this microscope to last. The lens are perfect for my hobbies, and the ability to zoom is especially useful. The light source is really useful as well - it is bright and you can adjust the direction of the light by turning off some of the LEDs. The unit is incredibly big and heavy - I didn't realize just how big and heavy until I assembled it and then decided to move it. It was too long to fit in the appointed spot in my lab, but luckily because it will turn every which way, I ended up sitting it up sideways instead of longways and it works fine. You will have no problem with the unit accidentally moving (unless of course the table its on collapses!) as it is very heavy. I purchased this unit with the idea of someday attaching a camera, but have not done so as yet so I can't speak to that function. Movements are all smooth and have a professional feel to them. Overall this has been a wonderful purchase with one small hitch... You must assemble the unit from several parts - and the manual that came with my unit did not apply to the microscope I purchased. Weird. Most of the assembly was straight forward and being a man (I hate to ask for help) I finally figured out the few odd attachments you must make. Overall it was a fun puzzle to solve, but most people would likely prefer to either receive the correct assembly instructions or look them up online. It took about 30 minutes to assemble (and most of that was scratching my head over 1 part).

Plenty of room to work using the .5 Barlow. Simple assembly, LED is super bright. Plenty of physical adjustments. Can sit comfortably and work all day. Fits on my rather small (39”x24”) Workbench. Stable yet not too heavy. Super optics. Haven’t used the camera yet.

I wanted to be able to solder with a live view on the monitor and inspire my kids to like science with looking at Geodes and other things. I bought the 4k Amscope camera on it and a 32 inch monitor and its amazing. The Geodes look great with the optics. I wish I would have gotten the 4K monitor but will have to give to the kids and buy it again. The camera with this scope really makes it fun. The problem I had was when I added the camera. The little screw that holds it from sliding down the post has a little rubber tip so it does not scratch the main post and hold it in place. It works when the camera is not attached but you either have to really tighten it or I bought a little pole vice and I put it in the pictures to this review. Its high qualify, great optics and worth the money. The monitor resolution is 1900 by 1080 and the image looks great but can only imagine with 4K monitor.

I could not be happier with this scope. It’s a luxury compared to using a loupe to do watch services. I actually enjoy using it. It’s well made and packaged and DID come with a QR code for all the instructions you need. This is a US based company and the instructions are well laid out in PERFECT English. I can completely work under it and haven’t had any problems so far. For the money, I would happily take the Pepsi challenge against more expensive microscopes, confident it would win. You cannot go wrong purchasing this. It obvious Amscope know what’s it’s doing and I wouldn’t hesitate purchasing other products from them. Yeah, it’s that good.

En efecto es Trinocular ya que permite añadir la cámara, pero no es binocular por lo que no es posible usar la cámara y los binoculares al mismo tiempo debido a que solo funciona un ojo al mismo tiempo que se usa la cámara y deberían ser los dos ojos junto la cámara pero por ningún lado lo dice y así no se puede trabajar al mismo tiempo que se muestra la imagen en pantalla

Great microscope

I bought this because it had a lot of range of magnification, a lot of room for staging objects to view, a ring light, and a OK camera. And because I didn't have one and at the time the price was very right. I've had this now for going on 3 years and I'm happy to have it. The stand is heavy & sturdy. It has a great adjustment range and balances well. Nice fit and finishes. It has a rack/pinion fine focuser (you have to raise or lower the arm (or the object) or the head for "coarse focus". It has a small knob on the right side to change the zoom setting* from 7x~45x Supplemental lenses can be installed to halve or double these limits, but the standard range has worked fine for me. It's a 1.3MP camera but it seems to capture decent images--good for show and tell (inspection, reporting, etc) I suppose I could fit a better one if I thought I needed to... The ring light is a fluorescent tube the gives bright, uniform coverage. If I need shallow-angle light to enhance surface texture I switch to a small LED flashlight or a desk lamp off to the side. One thing has always bugged be--the zoom is actually varifocal--when you zoom plus or minus the focus changes, usually quite a bit. Maybe all of them--the newer affordable ones, anyway--do this but I remember one in the lab at a previous job ($$$--might have been a Nikon, or I might be imagining it) that behaved better. Another thing that bugs me a little--it has a shutter inside to open the third port for the camera. Since I'm left-eye-dominant, that's a nuisance, but the screen image usually becomes important at that point so I've learned to put up with it. I don't know if this has any optical-quality issues that wouldn't let you use it all day, but for my occasional use it's a nice unit.

To start, I think the instructions really suck but, it's not rocket science so I was able to figure everything out. Shipping (Intelcom Express) was terrible, like usual, and the box came smashed up. I was really concerned but luckily the microscope was packed very well. The boom is solid and is a great complement to the microscope. The LED light ring is an absolute must have. The microscope itself is well constructed and is very impressive. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this.
