By the Onan Factory filter, it is worth it
As you would expect it as a good fit for my Onan Generator. Don't waste you money on the aftermarket ones being sold on Amazon. I tried one and it leaked within seconds.

If you own a CUMMINS Generator - Use this fuel filter!
If you own a CUMMINS generator, you need to use this fuel filter and not a generic one. I had bought a tune up kit for my CUMMINS generator which included a fuel filter. Though the rest of the tune up parts worked, the fuel filter prevented the generator to start. I then read online owners of the CUMMINS generator highly recommended using the manufacture's fuel filter. I ordered this one and after installing it, my generator started right up without any issues.

Don't compromise
I tried a chapter aftermarket filter and it leaked around the crimp where it was assembled, i should know better. I immediately ordered a "onan " filter and got it the next day and no leaks. DO NOT COMPROMISE. Get the onan brand

Onan 5500 direct replacement.
Perfect fit on my Onan 5500. 5 minute install with a screw driver and crescent wrench.

Looks well made. Fits and replaces the original just fine. I replaced it along with the fuel pump. It installed easily and runs the generator just fine. I’m pleased with the purchase. Thanks folks.

Easy to install and works like a charm.

I was replacing the fuel pump on my motorhome so I figured it was a good time to replace the filter as well. Luckily it fit better than the fuel pump did. Works great. Can't comment on longevity as it was only installed a couple of weeks ago and only used one weekend.
