Fantastic for Life is Strange fans
Love how the author puts the relationship between Max and Chloe at the forefront and builds the world and story around that. Can't wait for the next volume!

Love it
It's so good to see these characters in new situations with new people, working with what they got. Chloe is the biggest change - she's let go of a lot of anger, and it's cool to see Max making new connections. A great follow-up for vol 1.

“Life is Strange Vol. 2: Waves”- Max Caulfield’s story continues in this solid second volume!
Picking up after the heart-wrenching (and admittedly head-scratching) cliffhanger finale of the first volume, “Life is Strange Vol. 2: Waves” collects issues #5-8 of author Emma Vieceli’s popular comic book, based of course on the award-winning video game series created by Dontnod Entertainment and released by Square-Enix. And while it’s never quite as refreshing as the first few issues, it’s still an entertaining and breezy read that will surely please fans of the cult-favorite franchise. Now stuck in an alternate universe where both Chloe Price and Rachel Amber are still alive, time-and-dimension-hopping protagonist Max Caulfield finds herself slowly adjusting to this new world… even though she still yearns for the Chloe of her own timeline. However, despite the veneer of peace and happiness, something is very much amiss, as our three protagonists face new hurdles in life. At the same time, Max also begins to realize that a mysterious young man she keeps running into may possess powers similar to her own… At its best, “Waves” is an engaging little story that plays up more on the domestic drama of Max and these new versions of Chloe and Rachel. It also has a fair bit of intrigue that keeps it interesting. And as always the artwork of Claudia Leonardi and Andrea Izzo is top notch stuff. The book has a much different visual vibe than volume one that helps it to stand on its own. But I’d be lying if I said the book didn’t fall a little flat at times. It’s not as much of an emotional journey, especially compared to the previous arc, “Dust.” And the ending maybe feels a tad-bit rushed to me. But when it works, it works very, very well. And it definitely left me ready to check out the new story-line, “Strings.” While it may not quite pack the same emotional punch as the excellent first volume, Emma Vieceli’s “Life is Strange Vol. 2: Waves” is a slick, solid follow-up that should please longtime franchise fans and leave them wanting more. (And for all intents and purpose, it looks like this comic book series is here to stay.) I’m giving it a very good 4 out of 5.

Great story thus far
I really love this series as a whole so far! I wish the book was shrink-wrapped or protected somehow though.
