Makes de-matting easy
I have three Standard Poodles who in the blink of an eye get massive mats in their ears and tails. Used to send them to the groomer with many apologies for the mats. Now I do it myself since its hard to find a good groomer and they are too expensive for our budget . I was told this is the hands-down best de-matting stuff and I agree. We all still suffer the combing and brushing but with considerably less trouble. I love this stuff. I’ll have to splurge for the big bottle, though that might be in a while. A little seems to go a long way. Smells really pretty, too, and without leaving a gooey mess.

Works for the tangles
Love it. Had never tried it before so I was curious. All in all it helps a lot. Makes the coat soft and tangle free.

Great detangler
Grooming a standard poodle can be difficult. This detangling spray is amazing. I have used it both for a brush out as well as at bath time. It really helps to remove matts without torturing the dog. (Mine have long ears which are particularly difficult.)

Smells divine, works wonderfully
First of all I think this detangling spray smells just divine. It is a light smell that dissipates after a short while unless you get close to smell the coat, but it smells fresh and clean. I dilute mine 50% detangler to 50% water, and use it sparingly (even just 2 - 4 quick spritzes per brushing, about one spritz at each quadrant of the dog's body, ) on my dog, working it through the coat with my hands and then the brush. I really like this detangler spray - - it is light to the touch, and does not add any build-up to the coat whatsoever. It is never the reason for needing to bathe my dog. On dry days or days when the heat is running a lot in the home, this spray tames fly-away hairs and static. It protects the coat from knots and mats very well. We have not had mats in the coat of our dog since I began using this routinely, and that includes days wearing harnesses, collars, and even doggie coats and slickers. My dog's coat in almost fully grown out, and this spray is one I will always keep on hand. Caution: the first time I applied this spray to my pet i did so over wood flooring. The overspray mist, which I did not even notice at the time, floated down and landed on the floor and made it very slick! After a couple of good laughs (and close calls slipping on it) I wiped it clean with distilled white vinegar, and now am careful to apply the spray to my dog over an area that is absorbent, such as a grooming or bath towel. I'll keep using this spray. Very delighted with it. :)

Dog groomer's opinion
I've tried dozens of detanglers over the years. This one, as it turns out=, is my favorite. I tried the smaller, 16oz bottle first, and quickly went through it. Now I'm using the gallon bottle with zero regrets except that its ready to use instead of concentrated. This is the best detangler I've come across. I like the smell, but more then that, I like how well it works. Spray this on tangles and mats and use a slicker brush and watch tangles dissolve and mats break apart. I've used it on various coat types with similar results. Things to note: You have to spray it, massage it in really well (really work it down into the coat/mat with your hands), then let it set for a few minutes while you work on other parts of the groom. Don't just spray it and try to comb, detanglers don't work like that. You have to let it set for a moment, then use a slicker brush, going different directions to break things apart. This REALLY works! I don't understand complaints about the smell. I'll say that it has a more masculine scent to it, but that smell quickly goes away (and I like it anyway). I don't buy a detangler for the scent anyway, I buy it to work, and it does so, exceptionally well.

This stuff is WONDERFUL! Makes all the dogs super soft. Better than the Ice on Ice. If u are a groomer get this. clients will remember how soft and pretty their dogs coat felt and book with you. You must try even u home groomers! Great product. Its what the show dogs use

This it great at detangling. We have a bichon and it straightens out his curls so they don't mat. But BEWARE....if you get overspray on the floor its like a skating rink. Just be careful. Otherwise its an awesome product.

I have a poodle with different types of thick curly hair. Spraying the dog's coat didn't help as much as spraying the tools over the dog's coat. Spraying the tools provided great slip for the dematting comb and wire brush. The grooming tools would otherwise get caught pulling through the tangles. This also allows you to control overspray. Having said that, even after the fur is dry, the floor ends up being slippery wherever the dog sleeps.
