I know they make a smaller one, but for the price, we just decided to go with these. They are pretty standard, but worked great when our technician tested them. Our double-hung windows have a slimmer profile in the middle, so our technician had to use sensor magnets that were not in white casing and glue directly to the window. It looks fine cause they are blocked by the big part of the sensor when out from inside.. and outside, we've never taken a second look to notice the small line of glue on the window. If your windows have a slimmer ledge where the windows meet, you might also have to do this. We just bought a bunch of these to beef up our system inexpensively and they work great with our Lynx Honeywell system.

our 14-year old alarm sensors are starting to fail... one by one, they trigger the alarm to go off at random times. Rather than having the alarm company come out for $100 per visit, plus the cost of the parts... I just buy these as needed and switch them out. Search youtube for videos with step by step instructions for removing the old sensor and installing the new one in the alarm system. Now that I know how to do it, it takes minutes to replace them. I've replaced 3 so far, and anticipate needing to do more as they continue to fail. Very happy with these so far!

Don’t buy it! It worked intermittently- just long enough for me to pair it with my system and throw away the box. It stopped working not 8 hours later. Now I don’t have the box and am out over $20. This thing needed a shelf life date.
