As Good as the OEM Batteries
For Christmas, I got a Canon XA 11. I can't rate it because it wasn't my purchase, but everything was fine other than that the video camera didn't work. I mean, it was dead. I charged the Canon battery to see if that was the problem, and it was fully charged, but the camera was still dead. After a day of sadness, I decided to try the generic extra battery that came in the package, and the camera turned on and everything worked. There wasn't much I could do but buy more batteries, but I wasn't going to spend a ridiculous amount of money on another Canon battery, so I shopped here on Amazon, and I found this great deal on a pair of batteries for under $50. They arrived, I charged them, and each one, like the original generic, is lasting more than 90 minutes on a charge (probably more, but I haven't been keeping track of the time very well yet). Obviously, I don't know how many charges they'll take before they start to wear out, but at this price point, I'll buy more of these batteries and let Canon sell its batteries to people who believe that, just because it has the Canon label, it's a superior product.

Works just as well as the Canon brand
These batteries work great, just as well as the OEM ones, with even a little extra battery power! They are the same size as the Canon ones and hold about 170min. They charge up in the camera and I haven't had any problems with them. I recently bought a second set and the first I've had for over 6 months and they still work great. Would definitely recommend these as a cheaper alternative.

Works great on my XA45
I picked up a pair of these along with a USB charger. They worked great during my whirlwind trip to CES this year. They retained their charge over multiple days and seemed to last a little longer than my stock Canon batteries. No concerns here.

1 worked and 1 didn't
I liked the price but the connecting wires were messed up on one battery. It didn't want to connect easy and once it did they were messed up. i didn't want to take a chance on my $2k video camera. So went with the Canon expensive battery.

Worth the money
The batteries last a long time. I use them in my Canon video camera.

Better than new Canon BP820 batteries!
VERY pleased with the Vivitar batteries and the service. I normally only buy Canon batteries, but one of my two Canon BP820 will only hold 1/3 charge despite many attempts to recover the full charge; the second Canon battery only shows 112 minutes at full charge compared to 140 new. These Vivitar batteries cost much less and show a full 140 minutes at full charge! Great buy - and great service!
