I lived on an island and used this on my off-island pick-up truck. I placed it on the inside (bottom) of the rear bumper with the vanity key inside. I placed the "fob" hidden inside the car in case the box fell off. It's been a year and the key box remains strong. The magnets are very strong and the box is very durable and well made. Note: you can purchase a "faraday" bag if you have an auto key fob. The bag blocks the digital signal.

When I first bought this product I thought it was going to fall off because I wanted to put it under my vehicle just in case I lock my key in the car. The magnets on this thing are out of control it is definitely not going to fall from under the car it's actually almost hard to get it off so that's a good sign! I must buy if you're going to secretly store a key somewhere underneath your car!
