Tinnitus sufferer loves this unit.
I have owned a couple of these over the years. I keep buying them as they run quiet on low and moderate on medium and high. They have a generous cord. I am guessing it's 8' I really have never needed to measure it. It moves a fair amount of air too. When used for work, I use it to ventilate work areas. This one was purchased thru amazon as its cold weather outside (9*), and no one has a fan. This fan is being used to help circulate the warm air in a home at present. Mainly though this stays in my truck and goes into my hotel room each night, I am a road warrior and travel about 40 weeks a year. I need something that can handle bumps and bangs in the truck and keep on running. I have used it to circulate the air in the hotel room, giving me a more uniform heating or cooling. I have used it to dry wet clothing before work the next day. Boots are a little harder, but it can be accomplished. You'll likely never be able to achieve that with just hanging your clothing or boots over the hotel ac unit, well not very thorough anyway. For an added bonus, you can easily direct the airflow to push the warm or cool air to your liking. I have suffered from tinnitus 24/7 all my life, so I get added benefit of the almost quiet running. It's just loud enough if you will, to drown out the ringing in my ears. That allows me to sleep easier in the evenings. If I am having a bad night or a hard time sleeping, I just turn it up. A lot of people will ask how you can sleep with it on. It's not that hard, and the constant repetitive sound makes it reasonably easy to sleep. Having owned way more than 4 of these (Lasko brand but blue in color, yellow is the Stanley brand color scheme), I have no doubt this unit which is waiting on me at home will function as all the others have. I used 2 of my previous fans until my young kids got hold of them, and I honestly don't know what they did to them. But they stopped working after meeting 2, 8-year-olds. I have never had one of these go bad. Anything is possible; it's electronic, after all.

Best fan ever, great in combo with AC
I wanted a fan, but not just any old box fan. I wanted a fan that will blow hard and keep me cool through the blazing hot summer, and this fan did the job. Sure its a little loud but its not so loud that its bothersome. It was amazing at cooling my room down when used in tandem with the AC. With this fan circulating the air, the AC was actually able to drop my room's temperature by 9 degrees after 10 minutes. It was great, it consumed less energy than the AC and when pointed at myself gave me a wonderful breeze. Also great for your floors, mop the floor tilt that fan down and wow, the floor dries so fast. Works great as a body dryer too, sometimes when I am in a rush, after I dry myself off after showering I use the fan to finish up the drying process where the towel could not fully dry. Works great for your hair too, its like a con air commercial with that breeze. I have long hair and turn that fan on and brush my hair as the fan blows, dries it pretty fast. The volume of air it gives off works wonders, also it doesn't blow hot air so you don't need to heat treat your hair before drying. A blow dryer can damage your hair when you blow dry it, but the cool air function isn't fast enough, but using this fan, oh man the air volume it gives out works wonders at drying my hair.

This is a great blower to have when doing painting projects
This is a great blower to have when doing painting projects. as a project manager for a painting company, we purchase and use many of these blowers. They are small but mighty and do a great job circulating the air in a room. Because they have power outlets built into them, they don't tie up power outlets, either. In fact, sometimes we daisy chain two or three of these things, together, and run them down a large wall so we can more more air at once. This is pretty handy when a room is short on power outlets! The one thing I don't like about them (and this is a design flaw that I think could be easily rectified) is that the do not have any sort of built-in cord wrap. (We usually end up wrapping the cords around the unit a few times and then sticking the plug into the power outlet on the side of the unit, but this doesn't always hold them securely in place.) These blowers are fairly durable, and we use them a lot. I would say that, with regular use, the life of one of these units is about three years. They are a bit expensive, but, in the long run, are worth the investment to speed up the projects we work on.

I was kind of disappointed when it arrived and I saw how small it was. Until I turned it on, and sweet merciful lawd this thing is amazing. We moved from a 1 to a 2 story house, so my window AC unit no longer cuts the mustard for the whole house. Picked this up, thinking it would be a reasonably budget stop over to keep us alive until I could buy a second AC. Turns out, we don't need a 2nd AC. Not with this puppy, I get goose bumps if I sit directly in front of it with it running across the room. It's great. I love how portable it is, and for as much air as it puts out (so much), it is rather quiet. Even on high it is less noisy than my old oscilating fan or even my newly purchased (but cheap) box fan. Also helpful, for those moments where you smoke out your kitchen accidentally (it's happened to all of us at least once, admit it) this little fan will have your space breathable again in minutes. I mean, hypothetically. It certainly isn't like we left a pan of oil on the stove unattended accidentally or anything. Anyways, awesome fan. Currently, I have it going in the living room and am on my 3rd pan of muffins in the oven. In July. And we are totally comfortable inside without AC. I will edit this review if it craps out on us, but in the meanwhile I plan on buying a couple more for other parts of the house.

**Edit 21/12/2019** Listing changed from a Stanley blower fan to a lasko misting fan. Appears to be taking advantage of previous reviews and star ratings on a new listing. ****** Took over a week to receive this item, and it came broken. Not impressed with the quality control. I will update my review once I receive a new fan that works. It will probably come once the hottest part of the summer is over - very disappointed in this product. ****Update**** The seller was quick to replace my fan with a working one, and was impressed with the speed in which they shipped out a new fan. It has a lot of power, with a large side intake, and a smaller side intake where the two outlets are located. It's nice to have the long power cord so you can easily move it around the room. This fan moves a whole lot in a very directional manner, and is rather quiet - it is sort of a white noise and just the sound of air. I'm not sure if I'd want to sleep with this fan on. I use it in my room where I have a gaming PC, and needed better air circulation as my room only has one AC vent. It is able to easily redistribute the cool air, and helps my room stay a few degrees cooler. I have also been able to blow warm air out the window, or at least out of the room very quickly. Seems like a good quality fan if you buy it on sale, and works quite well. The plastic seems kind of cheap, but as long as you don't drop it - I'm sure it'll be fine. The pivoting head works very well, and can be used for many applications. I'd recommend this fan over many other room fans considering the amount of air it actually moves...
