What's a Homeowner to Do? Paperback – November 22, 2011

This book is crazy handy. I don't even own a home and I use it as a reference at least once a month. Sometimes I just hate waiting on our building's maintenance staff, so if it's a cheap fix I'll just do it myself and this book is an amazing reference. Covers basic knowledge and how-tos for almost everything in a standard home. You need this book! Even if you consider yourself handy, get this.

Book was exactly what I needed. My husband died; kids don't live nearby; don't want to bother friends. This easy to understand book (with illustrations) provides all the info I need to either do it myself or determine who is a good, reasonably priced service provider. Great size, great weight, it's in the center of my bookcase for easy access.

Well written, did not learn anything new in homecare.Pictures and directions very clear. Good for first time buyer in homecare book.

I gave this book as Christmas gifts. Everyone who lives in a home needs to help maintain it. Doesn't matter if you own or rent you need to know if a problem can get serious. You may not be handy enough to fix the problem but at least you will know if the contractor is worth his salt or not! By the way, everyone I gave the book to loved it and was most thankful!

Everyone thinks because we have the internet we don't need a book, I disagree. sometimes you don't know what you are looking for, thumbing through a book is often a great resource.

Don't waste your money. Little pictures, so much of general text. Poor illustrations. There are MUCH better and useful "how to" books out there.

Very detailed and written well. Purchased as a Christmas gift for a young couple that just purchased their first home. Hope they will enjoy it.

This book has a lot of good tips but one of the most reoccurring tips i saw was get a professional which made me laugh considering I get that tip free daily from the woman of the house.
