Short term report -- excellent
I haven't used these crutch tips for very long, but my experience to date has been very favorable, and I just ordered a second set (I have two pairs of Lofstrand crutches) and will possibly order a third pair (on good days I can get by with a cane). The two factors that influenced my choice is the non-slip claim and the one size fits most. So far they've met both claims. My apartment building has tile floors that get slippery on rainy days -- and while the non-slip isn't perfect, it's a great improvement over the old crutch tips, and better than leaning against the wall. Getting the tips on was a lot easier than removing the original tips that came with the crutches (the screwdriver method of removing the old tips worked well for me). Reading through the unfavorable reviews, there are two complaints that I can't answer: are they durable? I don't know. The rubber is much softer than the original tips, and might wear down more quickly. Also, since they're shorter than the original tips they might come off more easily -- but I haven't had that problem so far. Yesterday I had a chance to do a sort of comparison test on a damp hardwood floor. First I tried walking with the crutches with the original tips, and they did slip. Then I switched to the set of crutches that had the non-slip tips, and found that they were much better. That's when I decided to order the second set in spite of the price. FWIW, I'm a BK amputee still learning to use my prosthesis, and hoping to get along without a walker, crutches, or even a cane -- so my experience may not apply to everyone -- but I consider these crutch tips a small step towards putting away the walker and gaining a bit more mobility.

Nice experience! Certainly better than the "basic" drugstore tips!
We ended up ordering multiple sets for multiple crutch/cane users. The longest term crutch user reports that they are working well in comparison to previous basic drugstore tips + previous "basic" manufacture tips. The previous "basic" tips would slide out the moment they found any drop of water, causing the crutch user to fall or nearly fall. Doctors and insurance reported that the crutch user only deserved the "basic tips" and insurance would pay for nothing fancier. Cue many months of risk taking as fancier tips were out of budget and then we came to know of these tips... smile. In comparison to "basic tips," these newer tips have only slipped once unexpectedly and twice on a certain type of floor (known for poor crutch handling), and they have been used in winter where rain is abundant. The rubber is softer than the previous "basic" tips which also means that the crutch user's joints are not the "shock absorber" (painful!) that all previous tips have been. So walking becomes a pleasant experience rather than one where the crutch user is saying, "surely there has to be a better solution than these basic doctor and insurance approved tips that cause me pain and falls." Well, these out of pocket tips are working very well for a more pleasant experience and the crutch user is happy! The shorter term crutch/cane users are also reporting improved stability with these crutch / cane tips which is very good. As far as durability reports are that they are still looking like new. "Basic" crutch tips would last barely a month and then be at risk of pushing through the very bottom for about another 2-4 weeks before replacement (a risky thing, but our crutch users had to pay out of pocket for tips). These tips are still going strong in harsh winter conditions (rain, mud, some snow, some freezing temps) -- for about two months, possibly three months for the longest user. We'll have to see how much use we end up getting out of them in the end but so far we are very impressed and the price out of pocket is very reasonable for what positive benefits the crutch users are reporting (and peace of mind). So, the user experience is much improved with these crutch tips, the budget & price point are very friendly, the peace of mind is very good, and we will buy more in the future when needed, but so far these are working well and are long lasting / durable in comparison to the previous tips we've had access to. If you are looking for budget friendly, better quality crutch tips than the drugstore, try a pair of these!

Durable, strong product
Very sturdy crutch tips. Replaced my hospital issued ones that didn't last long. These are solid, sturdy, strong and durable. They also grip well. I don't see them ripping or falling apart anytime soon. Highly recommended.

Great tips
I've had these tips on my Lofstrand crutches for 5 months now. I use them daily both indoors and out. I've tried on wet, dry, icy, snow, uneven, just about every surface and condition you can think of and they have great grip. They are easy to place on the crutches. I did originally worry about how shallow the well base is but they haven't fallen or or come loose yet. I see complaints of how people say they Crack. I can see this happening sooner than with many other tips as they are a softer rubber. I also looked at the tips in pictures of such a reviews. The amount of wear on those tips show a need for replacement anyways as they are no longer serving their purpose as they no longer have any grip and pose a hazard. Tips are not supposed to last indefinitely. Depending on the tip and usage the recommended time for changing out a tip is 3-6 months. One an area is worn down, grooves are shallow or non existent or a cracked tip is no longer safe and pose a fall hazard.

Left marks, had to discard.
Comfy, good feel, but low collar. Was worried they'd pop off. Better grip than the tips that came with the crutches. No marks on carpet or tile, but left black marks on the laminate.

Buy these if you are using crutches
Buy these tips. I had the original tips and the metal busted through both of them while I was walking in the hospital which caused me to slip. These tips are far more durable and for the price a no brainer. Will recommend to anyone I know.

Wahoo! I've been looking for these for years!
Shortly after I started having to use a cane several years ago I came across these under a different brand name and bought them, despite the (then) very high price. I'd been having a LOT of trouble with my cane not being dependable in wet weather because the standard tips just slip and slide on smooth floors with a little wet on them. It got to the point I simply would not go to certain places, like my bank, the post office, etc. if there was wet weather because I couldn't trust my cane to keep me off the floor. They worked GREAT and I quickly also purchased the tip adaptors they offered for snow and ice. Well, these things wear like iron. In all the years since I've yet to wear one out (the picture attached to this review is one that's about 5 years old) but I wanted a few more for my "spare" canes. I have two vehicles and two entrances to my house. I keep one cane at/in each (and one more in the garage) so I never have to worry about a cane getting lost or breaking and I can grab one as I leave the house. I wanted these tips on ALL my canes but... I couldn't find them on Amazon anymore. I did finally track down the company that makes them and I was going to buy them through their site but the shipping was more than I wanted to pay, so I decided to wait and keep checking to see if they become available again here on Amazon where I can use my free Prime shipping. And they did! In COLORS! (Be still my inner magpie!) I now have a brand new burnt orange tip on my wood cane that looks great with its light color and I'm making a list of what colors I want for the other canes. Maybe I'll try a red, white, and blue trio for July 4th, and to match my blue pickup and red Jeep. Or maybe a purple set as a gift for a friend who loves that color and is going for knee surgery. Choices! There are so many great choices now!

Product has changed does not fit crutches
This is the red color. One it’s just rubber no color and two I have previously bought these and they wore out finally and the hole is not the same for them to go over the crutch so they no longer fit on a standard crutch.
