Beautiful piece of leather at a good price.
Very pleased with the quality and price on this 12” x 24” piece. It was a true rectangular cut and uniform in thickness. There was enough variation in the pebble grain that I could choose exactly the look and texture I wanted for the two slip pockets on a travel bag I am modifying. The thickness was perfect for sewing on my home machine and was soft and flexible with a little stretch. The leather smelled great. I first went to a nearby Tandy Leather store hoping to buy locally but they had almost no selection of pieces this small and what they had was much more expensive. It was shipped folded but the creases were very soft and round and not a problem for this project. I rolled the remnant and I think the creases have already disappeared.

Love it
Not a leather expert but it seems good quality to me! Easy to work with, soft and uniform in thickness and color. Loved the brand in the corner it has artistic possibilities.

Nice leather, thin for my project
Nothing wrong with these leather swatches. They’re good quality, but a little too thin for what I wanted to do with them. They’re probably in the 1.5-2 mm thickness range, which is great for a little extra malleability, but not for creating a durable, embossed book cover. I’m as new to leatherwork as I am book binding, so I figured I would make some mistakes along the way. I’ll find other uses for these. They don’t have any noticeable odor, they’re a good value, and for making small crafts where you don’t need the leather to provide any of the structure, they’re a good size.

High quality and great colors !!
I actually bought these two line a wood pirates chest and it made the entire chest smell so good and the color was amazing. Great feel very high-quality was very soft and pliable.

Outstanding quality at a fair price.
Perfect. Good price too. Very soft, supple and beautiful. Perfect for recovering an old favorite bible that had a tattered bonded leather spine. The 1mm thickness is a bit heavy but it will look great when done, with extra to spare for another project.

Surprised and yet Upset
I'm leaving two reviews, since I ordered another product from this company. This is for 10 square foot, Brown. I'll review 12x24" black. Before I get into the good and the bad, my application is for rugged working and outdoor pants with leather butt and knee pads. Sewing is not "MY THING" but with the latest fashions and "looks before function" agenda, it seems I'd have to design and make my own clothes. Yes, even the local "workers and tactical" stores don't have rugged enough pants. So materials are a struggle for me, figuring out what is what, what is called what, and weights? Now leather. It's a truly educational experience. Anyway, after reading the description of the black 12x24, it seems all the 12x24 materials are 1.2-1.4mm thick and the 10 sq ft materials are 0.8-1mm thick. I ordered the black first and was quite surprised that it would make nice knee pads. But it wasn't enough for the butt panels, so I ordered the 10 sq feet of brown (change of color). I was skeptical because anything less than the 1.2-1.4mm would be too thin, but I ordered it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised that the brown was actually on average 1.25mm thick, at least around the edges. Now, I understand that leather is a natural product, so there will be variations in thickness, softness and color as you purchase from time to time. I think most people are missing this fact. However, the 12x24 piece should be thicker than the 10 sq feet piece, yeah? To my dismay, the previous order of 12x24 black is actually thinner than the brown, averaging about 0.9mm, which is thinner than what is advertised. Now, it seems the thickness is not based on the color, but the size or the cut of leather. So the 12x24 cut has become rather disappointing. Now, for color. Black is always good but black over any other lighter color makes the garment too... tactical (of sorts) and becomes less casual and you would get lots of looks, especially in todays' "fashionable world". I like rugged... but that's my opinion. The brown is more earthy and closer to natural, and you can still dye it to whatever shade you want... I'm assuming. By the way, I'm using the "suede side", not the smooth side. So, why only 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 stars? Supposedly this piece is 10 sq feet. I spread the piece out and measured a conservative 36x34", plus some wavey limby sections, but in all, this piece is closer to 9 sq feet than 10 sq feet. If the seller quoted as 9 sq ft, I would be ok, but since I was expecting 10 sq ft, it's rather disappointing. Cost: well, it does seem, like it's good value, from my experience, but that's not saying a whole lot. However, analyzing the cost of 2 sq ft as apposed to 9-10 sq ft, it's a wad of cash but you get better value by buying more. Hopefully, you get a thicker cut than a thinner cut.

Quality leather
Very nice piece of leather. I bought this for my girlfriend. She makes hand bags and it's perfect for that.
