I got this cable because recently built a gaming PC and I wanted to hook up the headphones via a 3.5mm jack. This is because on the headphones I have, the mic doesn't work unless it's going through Bluetooth. This solves the problem of getting great sound, while avoiding other people. The fact that it comes with 2 is a game changer. Now I can throw one in my car. Look and feel pretty cool and strong too. Huge note, microphone headsets will work with this cable. My specific model, Sony WCH700N do not. The 3 rings on the jack allow for it. It's a TRRS. The aux cables with 2 rings will not support microphones, so these are your absolute best bet for sound and speak.

both cables had extremely loud static and the audio barely came through in a muffled way, and were unusable. Technically I could have made out what somebody was saying in like a podcast, but it would have been moderately difficult and and unpleasant experience as the static was louder than the intended audio. Other cables worked fine in the same setup so it wasn't the setup.
