Amazing product, but pricey
This product worked wonders for me and I would 100% recommend. I caught a flight home whilst I was slightly congested and my ears became fully blocked. I had suffered with blocked ears for a week and visited the Doctor Who prescribed me antibiotics however these did not help and I was becoming very restless and anxious in trying to find a way to rectify this I was upset and frustrated as I couldn’t hear a thing and thought this was something I would have to live with. I bought this product as I had nothing else to lose. I was sure it wouldn’t work. However after the first go my ears popped and I was able to hear again I was so relieved anyone who is suffering from middle ear or fluid past the eardrum I would definitely recommend this product. My ears aren’t 100% but they’ve gone from 15% to now 85%. The package tells you to use this product for three weeks which I will continue to do so and will bring it with me when I go on any future travels. Highly recommend.

This works
After a month or so of trying decongestant and various maneuvers (valsalva and others) I was about to get a doctors appointment to solve my blocked ears. This worked. It took me about 5 days of using it several times a day before I felt completely better, but I got there. The first time it worked but the blockage came back quickly. After several days it was a little better then by 5 or so, all gone! The relief is so good!!

Great for ETD and other ear problems
I've been using the Otovent since Feb 2023 as I suffered from SSNHL in Jan 23, it helps to open up your eustachian tubes and allow fluid in the middle ear to drain again. I have horrible ETD and I'm also on fluticasone furoate(flonase) which is a mild corticosteroid, I'd be in trouble if it wasn't for the Otovent. It's easy to setup, use & clean. The box comes with one nosepiece and 10 Balloons. Much safer than doing the Valsalva maneuver which is good, I know straight away if there fluid in my ears/blockage or inflammation around the tympanic membrane as when first blowing into the balloon it will instantly start to be a very dull pain telling me "STOP" The only downside to this, if any, is the cost. The balloons do last a while though so that helps and in the grand scheme of things £15 isn't expensive compared to most treatments for ENT issues. They used to be £10 so a 50% increase is quite substantial for what is essentially a piece of plastic and balloons. I would be in difficulty without it though so I will continue to use Otovent. *I do wish they would add a pack of 10/20 balloons on their own as I don't need a new nosepiece every time and it's an unnecessary cost

Great hearing improvement.
A very interesting product. As a pensioner I have resisted the use of hearing aids. The device has cleared my tubes after a cold combined with flight descent resulted in fluid sloshing about in my inner ear for two weeks. But even better my hearing has improved considerably: the TV news is now set on volume 15 instead of the previous 25 for comfortable listening. Maybe all older people should try this first!!!

Not for all anatomy
Although the insert is the size, or a tiny bit larger than my nostrils, I tried putting it further up my nose, midway, further out just so it's at the entry to the nostil. I tried angling it downwards, straight ahead, midway, and every single other angle. I tried different finger placements, such as one finger at the bottom, one on top of the insert, and two at the top, all fingers on the insert and at the top, and every other position I could put them in. Nothing worked consistently. I can barely ever stop all airflow out. There's no different sizes of the insert, it's just one size; About 2cm. It's also hollow, so I'm unsure how you're supposed to clean the middle of the bulb, because it's quite a bit bigger than the tunnel section. If it was filled on the inside sides for the hole to be the same size tunnel then you would be able to use a straw-cleaning brush / a pipe-cleaner to clean it well between uses. And when I do manage to create a proper seal it takes way too much force for me to be able to blow up the balloon to the size that the instruction tells you to. I was only ever able to blow the balloon up to a centimetre larger than the original size of the balloon at its flacid state, so barely any size change. However, it is effective if you follow the instructions. What I do is use it for a few seconds per nose after I could feel behind my eardrums being filled with air I hold it, move to the next nostril, and then take small tips of water. Over the next few minutes the ears drain and it is easier to breathe through both nostrils. Immediately after using Otovent all of the iriitation inside my ear cannal visibly goes away. On my first use, prior to it my ear canals were very red, and when I used the tiny camera again to look inside them the irritation was reduced by about 90%. They pretty much looked normal. Ofcourse, from the first use there wasn't much of any change in my eardrums, but that is why you need to use this tool regularly and for a long time. This will tide me over until I am able to afford to try an electric tool, and until I am accepted to be a patient for the ENT clinic I was referred to by my GP. But this is a decent place to start. Overall, unless your nostrils are very tall or wide.

What a fantastic product
I have been having trouble with my hearing on my right side for some time and had tried everything from many inhalers, ear drops, visits to the pharmacy and decongestant tablets and nothing seemed to work. Then I saw this product which was advised on the best 10 cures for blocked inner ear problems. Although it seemed rather expensive for what it is, it was worth every penny. The first time of use my ear popped and I could hear much better and I was surprised that the ear that seemed ok even popped making my hearing much clearer. I have not yet been able to blow the small balloon up but I am not worried about that because each time I use this product my ear with the problem stays clearer for longer. I would suggest continuing the whole time suggested so that should work fantastically, to keep the inner ear clear.

Great device. Very effective at opening Eustachian tubes. Overall comfortable to use. Balloons do stretch out, become less effective and eventually pop after numerous uses.
