Easy to install
This is a great cat door. We cut into our laundry room to garage door and the best part is you can lock it to not open from either side, or lock it to go out only or come in only. I had my first oone for over 10 years and bought this one to replace the pastic that broke off due to my dog trying to go through it. The cats use it without any problem. Once it is installed it does not slip, the adhesive holds well, fits great and all sizes of cats can use. I have a 10 pound female and a 19 pound male that use it. This dorr is made to last.

Does the job. Just make sure you cut your hole properly so it can fit well!

Small gap around edges, covered with plastic
I really, really, REALLY wanted to be perfectly happy with this cat door and give it 5 stars. Sadly, I am rather disappointed about the air gaps at the edges of the flap. We needed it for a window, and all the other (maybe better sealed) ones I looked at were a couple inches in depth for use on doors or walls. I selected this one because it was narrow enough (in depth) to work in a window (attached to plywood that fills that one pane for this purpose). Unfortunately, there are gaps along the sides that are plenty wide enough for mosquitoes to enter (not to mention letting cold air in during winter, or the cooled air out in summer). At night, here in the desert, the bugs are going to see the light shining through the cat door, and they're going to be attracted to it. Then they are going to find their way inside. Since I tend to sit a few feet away from the window with a lamp beside me and my lighted computer screen in front of me, I'll be the first target they zero in on. (See update re: this issue.) I wish I could have found one with better closure, but, as I said, they wouldn't work on a window. It's also a bit small for my adult cats to fit through, but they manage. (Again, the ones with bigger openings were all for use with doors and walls, or screens.) It seems to be of decent quality and all that, if you don't mind the gaps around the flap. It is a bit weird that the back piece doesn't have screw holes, only 4 small adhesive strips to hold it in place. My husband simply drilled holes in it, so he could screw the front of the frame to the back of the frame through the plywood. (So, now we can't return it, of course.) Darn, I really wanted it to work. I spent a couple hours looking at all the options before I settled on this one. :( Update: After having it a few months, I am content with it, and have given it 1 more star than I originally did. My cat is a full sized adult now, and he still goes in and out easily. Sometimes, if there's strong airflow, the magnet won't latch and stay latched, but that's in the summer when we are running our evaporative cooler which blows through, and most bugs won't fly into strong air currents, so it's been mostly OK. It still works after several months of use. Another Update: After about 1.5 years it was still holding up fine, but our husky-malamute got inside unattended, and I guess he tried to go out the cat door or something, because he broke the flap today. (He was always jumping the fence onto the patio and sticking his big head through, but from the inside, I guess it was more of a problem.) At about $7, though, we will replace it with the same. As for the thin gap around the edges, I simply taped a slightly bigger piece of clear plastic over it (visible in photo), and that kept out the bugs just fine.

Good value for the money
This product performs exceptionally well, accommodating cats ranging from 2-pound kittens to a 25-pound adult. The only minor drawback is that the outer frame lacks screws for secure attachment to the door. The adhesive, under constant use, typically lasts approximately two months.

Good quality. Easy to install.
Good product. Used on a cat shelter I made out of a igloo cooler.

Door is functional but a little ornery
Installation is a breeze with the right tools. Packaging suggests using a jigsaw, but an oscillating tool is much better for hollow door installations. Once it was installed and level, however, it needed some touching up. The mold seams protrude kind of a lot so the cat was having trouble with it getting stuck. An extra ten minutes with fine grade sandpaper fixed that problem, but the door still doesn’t fully shut every time because it’s so light. If you don’t mind it hanging open, that’s no big deal. Using a wheel weight or two at the bottom gets it to shut, though aesthetically it’s not ideal. The locking mechanism is a little cheesy and difficult to set, as it wants to slip out of position. Honestly, I’m a bit concerned that the Cat might accidentally lock herself on one side of the door if I’m away for the weekend and lose access to food and water, so I might remove the lock altogether. This product seems like an excellent choice as the price is reasonable, but just know it’ll need a little extra love to make it work well.

Very cheap, very good
For the low price of this door, $8, I was halfway expecting no so great of a product. I thought I might as well try it and replace it later if it didn't work. We had a pet safe model cat door at our old house, and when we moved I tried to but the same thing. I'll admit I must have been distracted or something when I bought this, because it thought it was for exterior door use. It is not. But that is clearly included in the description. My fault. Since we moved our pets to the new house before we lived there, we needed a way for the cats to get inside for food and to be out of the elements. I realized my this product is for interior doors but installed it anyway on the exterior door to our garage. It's has been on there for eight months now, and functions so well I don't wish to change it. What makes it for interior doors only is that it is missing the piece in the middle which covers the exposed inside of the door that you cut a hole in. I Cut a strip of Formica that I had and put it in the middle of this cat door to keep the rain and moisture out of the inside of the door. So far this has worked great. As far as I can tell the build quality and materials used in the interior door are the same as the exterior pet doors. Well made thick hard plastic sides and hinged door. It swings open easily and has the ability to lock if you feel the need. Obviously I don't recommend anyone to use this inside door on the outside door, but my point is that it is very well made and durable. Not a different flimsy grade or anything because it's meant for inside. The magnet is holding up great, I have had no problems with it falling out as a few people have mentioned. We have two cats that go inside and put quite a bit throughout the day and night, so I know it gets quite a bit of use. The instructions are easy to understand, they tell you exactly what you need before you get going so there are no surprises. There is a bit of overlap in the pieces so in case you are not perfect with your cuts it will not show when the door is installed.

Pet door for your pets, or kitties works great !
We bought this pet door for easy access for our cats to go on our back screen covered porch easily. Cutting the whole in the door is probably the most hardest part for you to have to do. The paper to know where to cut and measure is a big help. It fit perfectly where we needed it to. The little notches are great on to how I want to open or close the door. In the morning my dog is on the back deck so I keep it locked so my cats can't go out there to bother her. One of my cats is at least 13lbs but he still fits he just has more to squish through lol. It's held up well so far, it is normal hard plastic but does look great.
