Very easy, cost effective way to dye all of your roots
Pictures 1-3 after Picture 4 before I forgot to take a before pic but you can kinda see how light my hair is in the one I did have. I bought this product to dye all of my roots, not just the “visible” ones. I have bleached and dyed my hair all sorts of fun colors at home before, but never just my roots or a typical “natural” color before from a box dye. I would say this dye did the job and I really enjoyed the ease of use, not having to mix the color and developer separately. I also like that I can use the left over dye because it only dispenses what you need. If you have never dyed your hair before you may have some trouble getting all of your roots by yourself, however someone inexperienced could help you easily. If you’re just dyeing your visible roots, it doesn’t get much easier than this! I was worried I may miss a few pieces of hair but honestly cannot find anywhere on my head that didn’t get dyed. For your reference: -I have thick, fluffy, semi coarse hair and I didn’t even use the whole bottle. Again, I dyed ALL my roots. -my natural hair color is dark strawberry blonde/light brown. Can’t say how well it’ll work for grays -the color is darker than is advertised. I would say it’s closer to VERY dark brown/espresso to almost black. It would have matched my original hair color if that was not faded. My roots just appear slightly darker though, which is fine with me. -can’t comment on the longevity because I only did this last night. If it appears to fade easily I will update this review. -very mess free! I didn’t get a drop of it on my bathroom counter or walls and it didn’t seem to “stick” to the gloves like some other dyes do -it will dye your skin easily and is harder to get it out the longer it sits -some parts had dye for 40ish minutes, some for only 10, I haven’t noticed a difference in their appearance Overall I highly recommend this hair dye. It really is the easiest way to dye your roots. Also LOVE the price - looks the same as if I had gone to a salon

Nice Hair Color.
I like this permanent hair color with roots touch up. I get so many gray hair all over my head. However, it covers gray hair with simple touch ups and it's also so much easier to use.

Perfect
I've tried every root touch up I could find: powders, sprays, dye kits, mascara... My hair is red/burgundy, and sometimes it's harder to find those shades. My hair also grows fast and white around my face, and I'd have to recolor it every 2-3 weeks if I didn't touch up the roots. This product solved all my problems. It took me 10 minutes to fix my roots. I did it in the morning before work. Squirt, stir, put it on your head, and by the time the shower is warm, you're in it. Since I can choose how much I use, I can use it for small touch ups if I miss a spot or before I would normally want to do a whole process. The color completely covered my white/gray roots, covered the remaining dark brown roots, and blended with the burgundy perfectly. It has lasted without fading for 3 weeks. It did not stain my skin. The formula is thick and doesn't drip. It rinsed thoroughly with no staining the towel or dripping blood red rivulets down my shoulder. It's so easy to work with. I am currently using Revlon burgundy as my regular hair color. I'll be curious how well the product will work if I changed the color or brand. I also did let it sit on the gray roots for the whole 10 minutes since it's stubborn grays. The color matched perfectly!

Runs much darker and blonde colors don’t cover as well
I have medium-dark brown hair with blonde highlights. I first got the medium brown color from this line to cover my greys and it did an excellent job BUT it was way darker (more like very dark brown). Not only was it too dark but when I washed it out, it darkened my highlights by staining them. I then got the medium blonde, thinking that this way, it will cover my greys but not mess up my highlights. The medium blonde didn’t provide as much coverage on my greys even though I left it on for 10 minutes. It more or less blended my greys but definitely didn’t fully cover them (seemed more like a semi-transparent tint/demi color). This next time around I decided to mix the two, but the plan was to use more of the medium blonde. Unfortunately both of the bottles had one side of the pump that was clogged. One bottle had mostly developer coming out and the other only mostly color coming out. This time I had fuller coverage and it was light warm brown. Through some other reviewers' tips (thanks Amazon community!), I realized I need to clean the pump. I removed the pump by squeezing the grooved sides of the pump, washing the holes of the pump under a stream of water and then pushing out any remaining cream with a cotton swab. In my opinion, this is a revolutionary product. So much easier to use than any other permanent root cover up color that I’ve ever used and so much faster too. Also the fact that it’s reusable is a HUGE plus for me. I don’t have nearly enough greys to use up a whole container of any hair color. I will probably get more than 6 uses out of each bottle. I keep recommending this to my friends and family because I'm so pleased. P.S. So far, I haven't noticed any damage to my very dry colored hair. Also, the smell isn't very strong and definitely doesn't give me a headache (some other permanent color brands did).

Mix 3 for med ash blond base
I always do my own roots in between visiting the salon because my hair grows very fast and I hate to see any gray at all. In the pandemic it’s been worse than ever trying to get to the salon [i.e. haven’t been able to get there at all]. So I’ve been mixing my own color for just the roots using a couple of different tubes of expensive color (majirel), which was recommended by my colorist, together to get to a medium-ish ash blond base that is dark enough to cover the gray. Which is messy and time-consuming. This stuff is a game changer though because it’s really easy to use and it really does cover the gray. I was worried about using it and it going golden or orange Because of comments here but I haven’t had that problem at all. stays nice and medium with no orange or golden highlights. I really like it a lot. So I saw this product and decided to try it and oh my goodness it is my new go to method for root cover. I will say I leave it on for 35 minutes because that’s what most hair dye takes to set. I just do some other chore while I’m waiting. And I use three colors again: I mix dark, medium, and Light blonde together. I have not used the light blonde alone so I don’t know exactly what it looks like. But I love the stuff it’s extremely handy and easy to use and it really does cover the gray-it covers better than my expensive hair dyes I was using and mixing on my own. So for my kind of dark medium blonde I put a squirt of all three in a little mixing bowl. Seriously good stuff.

Amazing coverage
This product is amazing. It covered up my grays and natural root color in 10 min. I washed and styled and it looks like fresh color. I will use this often!

Great-as long as the pump functions properly
I have used a root touch up product by another brand, but it required mixing separate tubes of color and activator, and only contained enough product for a single use (which sometimes wasn't enough to cover everything I needed covered). I saw this that the color and activator came out together, and it was a foam, not a cream, and contained enough for up to 3 uses, so I gave it a try. I really liked it, and have used it about 6 times now. I knew to order a color lighter than my hair color, so the color was fine, it was easy to use, covered my gray, and the color lasted. I did have trouble a couple of times with the pump top getting stuck in the cap, but was able to get it out. The last time I used it, which was a 2nd use of the same can, the activator came out, but the color did not. I had carefully washed the pump top and knew it wasn't clogged, so I don't know what happened. Fortunately I had some of the other product that you have to mix up, and was able to finish the application.
