Great reminders and a nice casual, easy read
This book is a nice easy read with lots of good reminders of how to avoid negative self-talk and the pitfalls of how women tend to compare and judge one another unnecessarily. A good read for those days when maybe you are having some self-doubt or need that extra boost of confidence!! Nice to have this tool in my motivational arsenal!

Life changing no nonsense easy habits you deserve!!
Powerful!! Just a positive and affirming shot in the arm read on how to stay focused and mentally strong. Amy gives timely tips on steering away from negativity, communicating via social media, being mindful of your self talk and steering your life's course. She seems to put into words what my intuition is trying to tell me, and backs it up with no-nonsense research. Her first book on mental strength helped me get through a terribly difficult time. And the fact that she started writing after tragedies in her own life gave me much needed hope. The audio book became my lifeline since I had no time to read and her tools were invaluable. I recommend her books to anyone looking for great, easy, empowering advice!

Must Have Resource for Women and Moms
I first fell in love with Amy Morin's work with her first book "13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do" and yet, her books keep getting better! This one specifically addresses women and 13 things we do that waste our mental energy. I loved this book, the awareness it brought me in my own life, and have recommended it time and time to clients. Pick up a copy asap!

This informative, well-written and extremely helpful self-help manual from Amy Morin is aimed specifically at helping women to build mental strength due to their natural tendency towards nurturing others which may affect assertiveness and self-care. Each chapter focuses on different ‘habits’ of mentally strong women, such as ‘they don’t compare themselves to others’, illustrated with very relatable examples. The importance of developing a realistic relationship with your ‘inner voice’ is explained in order to promote more realistic and positive thinking. Amy will help you to build awareness of how your negative emotions affect you so that you can start to control these emotions rather than allow them to control you. This will lead to more positive behaviours and outcomes as you develop her ‘13 things that mentally strong women don’t do’. Amy Morin is an inspirational writer and has contributed hugely to valuable self-help manuals for everyone and for women specifically with this latest edition. This is an easy read which I personally find valuable and I highly recommend it to women.
