Easy fix!
My VW CC, had EPC and engine light on. It couldn't hold a steady idle. I bought a $32 dorman pcv valve (cheap thin rubber) and it solved the problem for about 3 weeks. Then all the lights came back on, along with the idle problem again. The dorman actually sucked up around the edges and folded over. Bought this brand and switched them out. I didn't clear the fault lights manually. I let the cars CPU detect and reset them. Day 1, EPC light went out. Day 2, the engine light went out. (around 35 miles total) My problem is fixed. This valve has a silicone mesh and seems somewhat sturdier. My car idles like a purring kitten now. Good decent product and easy fix!

Perfect fit/MK6 GTI
Easy to install, fits mk6/2013 GTI. No brainer maintenance item, especially on high mileage vehicles. Go ahead already and replace it!

It's a nice alternative
Seems okay for the money. I believe it worked and I don't see any more wetness of oil seepage along he part anymore.

Not worth. Instead, replace entire PCV system
Worked fine for 3 months before issues started again. For the price just spend a little more and replace the entire valve system- tbh easier install too

Getting the old cap off is a challenge
New diaphragm looks more rugged than the oem. Highly recommend having a hooked pick to get the old cap off.

Great alternative to a full assembly replacement.
Installation took maybe 5 minutes. My original diaphragm was toast at 134k, but the rest of the assembly was of course fine. I'm glad I found this part. I had to break the original cap to get it off but it was also rather brittle from 10 years under the hood, but with the replacement cap included it was a simple swap. With the thicker, reinforced diaphragm material, I am confident that this will last the remaining life of the life of the car.

No More Oil/Gas smell
I used to get an oil/gas smell occasionally in my MK7 and this eliminated that smell completely. It is much cheaper than replacing the whole PCV valve and is relatively easy to install. Any 1.8T or 2.0T EA888 engine can use this from my understanding.
