Bower SLY16VDN Wide Angle High-Speed 16mm T/2.2 Cine Lens for Nikon Video DSLRs (Black)

While the lens I received was not in the condition I expected (it was used & not new), the seller resolved that issue to my satisfaction. The lens it self, other than the few scuffs it came with, has preformed very well. This was purchased to be used with a Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera (BMMCC) , and I have tested it with both a straight Fotasy Nikon lens adapter, and a Viltrox NF-M43x focal reducer, and love the results with both. On my first test outing with the lens I threw on a budget K&H concepts ND4, a Fotga IR cut filter and the Fotasy adapter. This was roughly the equivalent of a full frame 46mm lens. I then filmed a test promo for a group I'm involved with at T2.2 in 3:1 RAW. The resulting footage had a green cast from the IR cut (it's a very budget IR cut), but it was easily corrected in post, and the resulting promo was sharp and had a very pleasing shallow depth of field that every one in the group who saw it loved. I've not done as extensive a test with the Viltrox focal reducer at this point because the weather has not cooperated with my schedule, but I have done several indoor low light tests with and with out the focal reducer, and am more than pleased with the image this combination produces as well. At this point this is my favorite lens out of the the four lenses I currently own.

great for video, focus ring is veryyyyy smooth, can be very precise. Haven't used the lens to its full potential yet but liking it so far.
