This set works beautifully! It leaves my hair soft, smooth, and moisturized without feeling heavy or greasy. The argan oil really helps repair dryness and adds a healthy shine. The scent is amazing and lasts all day. After a few washes, my hair felt stronger and much more manageable. Great quality for the price!

I like this shampoo. It helps to moisturize my dry hair with leaving greasy. The scent is nice, not overwhelming. It leaves my hair soft and I will definitely purchase again. Good quality.

This product contains 1. tetrasodium edta a known byproduct of formaldehyde and sodium cyanide, it breaks down the skin barrier and is carcinogenic. It's widely banned but still (legally) used as a preservative in low concentrations. Danger: High/rinse quickly and avoid prolonged exposure 2. Glycol Distearate, the precursor to this chemical is used to manufacture anti freeze/ coolant for cars, but it's not excessively dangerous or concerning for health and contributes quite alot to cleaning and maintaining hair. (Technically that precursor compound is actually organic.) 3. Sodium benzoate, converts to a carcinogenic toxin when exposed to vitamin C or heat and light (Although entirely artificial it is partially derived/related from common benzoic acid from fruits) Danger: low to high Do not apply shampoo only, use conditioner to prevent exposure of this compound to the sun (Other compounds in shampoo may prevent citric acid from reacting violently with this compound.) 4. dimethiconol/Dimethicone: Silicone based, current research suggests beneficial for skin health. Still a product similar to a very plastic glass do not dispose of set improperly could impact environment. note this is not a plastic, it is just very plastic (moldable) as it's a silicon product. 5. Benzyl alcohol: Fragrance, antioxidant, etc. Derived from fruit 6. Sodium Salicylate/SS: Produced from Salicylic Acid/SA used in many other beauty products (SA is completely natural, but SS is not.) Can act as a NSAID (Pain reliever) and can kill cancer cells. 7. guar hydroxypropyl-trimonium chloride, organic derivitive from plants and bacteria. Gives product conditioning properties. Helps reduce certain forces on hair which increases fluffy and increases quality without adding weight and flattening hair. 8. Citric Acid/Vitamin C, natural compound/vitamin from citrus fruits 9. TEA-DODECYLBENZENESULFONATE, removes dirt and oils perfectly safe for use in low quantities 10. TRIDECETH-10, provides shiny to hair without causing a greasy sensation or heavy hair, perfectly safe for use. 11MISC. Various natural oils such as coco, aloe, argania, etc. Not safe for someone with allergies or who's skin/scalp/hair is fragile. Also contains amino acids essential for health such as histidine. My personal experience with this product is that it's not bad nor is it any worse than any product on the market, in fact it's obvious gamble and proctor is doing better with this product than alot of others I've seen. But I would like to see the EDTA removed from this entirely. I love the scent and the mostly organic ingredients still waiting on my hair to dry. But so far it feels alot lighter and fluffy than other brands and products I've used.

As you can see I have a problem and love my herbalessence. The Argan Oil Repair shampoo and conditioner smell amazing and leave my hair feeling soft and healthy. They lather well, rinse clean, and actually help smooth frizz without weighing my hair down. After a single use, my hair felt stronger and shinier, with less breakage. The pump bottles are big and convenient, making them a great value too. Definitely one of the better options for damaged or dry hair.
