I originally got the sifting litterbox (because it's popular), but true to what I was thinking, it's too small, about the size of a dishtub, but not as deep. So, I got this Litter Genie litterbox instead, not only because the size was bigger, but I figured I could at least try dumping the litter into the sifting litterbox and then sifting it, to see how that worked. Well, to my surprise and delight, it works great and I actually don't mind dealing with the litterbox now, something I never expected. It's awkward to have the implements of both systems in my small laundry room, but, hey, at least the ease of cleaning the litterbox means it gets done and so the extra sifting litterbox system in addition to this wonderful Litter Genia litterbox is worth the trouble. I figure I lucked out because I'm getting the best of both worlds ... first, this larger Litter Genie litterbox with the very convenient handles, plus the very convenient sifting method, which is 100x better than scooping. The whole system kinda hinges on the ease of pouring the litter from the Litter Genie litterbox into the sifting litterbox ... and I can tell you that it's easy. Some people mentioned that the pour "spout" eventually cracked from pouring while "squeezing" the two handles together .... but I just lift and "tip" the whole thing into the sifter litterbox with no problem at all and I highly recommend doing it that way, while resting the Genie litterbox on the edge of the sifter litterbox. I've probably got everyone thoroughly confused by now, but trust me, this is a great system because it's so easy. Even without an additional sifter litterbox system on hand, this is a really great litterbox and I highly recommend it!!!

I travel with my cat and I originally ordered this for that purpose, which it's absolutely perfect for! My cat loved it so much that it became our only litter box. We've had it for years with no breaks or tears in the plastic. I will purchase this again if it does though. It's narrow for tight places but it widens when pushed against a wall. It's tall, deep, keeps litter in the box, and it cleans easily as litter doesn't stick to it. My cat is 15 lbs and she fits just fine even if it's in a tight space and more narrow. It fits on the floor of the car, carries well into hotels, and makes life so much easier just using the same box no matter where we are. I have recommended it to many friends who also love it. Unless they design a better box, this will always be my go to!

I ordered this litter box because I live in a tiny NYC studio apartment and the box must live in the very tiny bathroom. The old-fashioned, hard-plastic rectangular box could not be tucked away, so I tried this one. When it arrived I was appalled -- it was in a huge box, because it was huge! No way in hell was it going to fit in the 12-inch gap between the tub and the cupboard...except, it did (see photo). And it solved the problem of my onetime outdoor rescue kitty's sitting inside the box and pooping outside it, over the edge! I think the photo on the main product page of the cat sitting in the box is probably a cut-and-paste picture, because the cat looks too big in relation to the box. Check the dimensions before you order. UPDATE: Still love it! The sides being held quite tightly together eventually cracked the "prow," but I had silver packing tape and it's not even noticeable. Not that I would care; I would be willing to buy a new one every year if it came to that...but it doesn't and it won't! The reason for this update, though, is that I never mentioned I use Feline Pine litter and it slides out of there like a fried egg out of a non-stick skillet. A really fine product.

Okay, so clearly the shape of this litter "box" isn't what's shown. Not sure if this is a re-design or...just not sure. This one appears to have the handles on each end instead of each side as shown and one end is clearly lower than the other. It's clear the difference in my photos and the photo of the product attached in the bottom of the box. It is a good size...not too small so pleased with that. This is more accurately described as a litter tote rather than a litter box. Basically, it's a large plastic tote. It's definitely different than the usual litter box, will be super easy to dump used litter out and spray clean and will, I think, work great for my needs...I use a litter box only when my 2 indoor/ outdoor cats stay inside overnight due to inclement weather. Wanted something easy to give a litter box option when needed during the night. Will update if I run into any issues or negatives. Update 10/13/20: after using this product, I felt I needed to make customers aware that it does crack pretty quickly especially if picking it up when it contains heavy, dense clumping litter. While I like the concept and convenience of the open litter "tote", it doesn't stand up well to continued picking up and moving it by grabbing both handles in one hand and carrying it as it seems to be designed to do. If it contains heavy litter, it cracks. It's just not made of flexible enough plastic to withstand the weight. Disappointing.

Very happy with this. We replaced our rectangular generic plastic box with this, and it significantly cut down on tracked litter and the amount of litter that she kicks out of the box. It's also much larger than her previous box, and it's much easier to do a full litter change as well. We have been using it for over a month so far, and no issues with handles breaking like others have mentioned. It's thick enough to withstand scratching and I have had no issues at all with scooping with the curved sides. Overall very happy, if this broke, I would buy another.

I wish this showed up at the top of the search results when I first looked for a stainless litter box—especially since I already had the Genie litter bin. I also wish the stainless part were a bit taller. I washed it and haven’t used it yet, so I’m still unsure about the stainless steel quality. After washing it twice, I noticed some streaks, which I’m not sure are from hard water or the manufacturing quality. My cat’s current stainless litter box doesn’t get streaks when I deep clean it, but I’ll monitor and see how this one holds up once my cat starts using it. Update: going well both for me and my void. I’m trying to get used to the design, what we previously have was just an oval all throughout inside, while this one have curves and protruding lines, so I thought I’m scooping a hard pee turns out it was the curve thing.

Love this litter box! High sides, easy to scoop and easy to carry if needed.
