Lovely design, great company.
First of all, you get two glasses. I'm not sure if that was evident in the posting, but I was only expecting one to arrive. The owners/workers of the company are very sweet - they sent along a hand-written thank-you note with the glasses. I thought it was very touching. The glasses themselves look very unique and are fun to drink out of. The outward-beveled lip of the glass makes sipping a little easier. I will say that I think that Irish or friendlier Scotch does work better in here than smokey Scotch or Bourbon, as the glasses are very large, and encourage larger sips. This is a glass for enjoying, not for thinking and being critical. The stem is a little uncomfortable to hold for me, but I have larger hands that don't fit super well, so I won't blame that on the glass.

Very Nice
First off this company is a class act. Well packed and sent usps with no problems, the order was fulfilled quickly with no days of waiting to ship “prossessing” ones order. About the glass: They didn’t invent a cure for cancer......but........it’s a very very nice nosing glass that is well made, very attractive and well designed. It holds well in the fingers and just suits me. Unusual design that I’m buying two more for a fellow imbiber. I think I’ll buy me a couple of more too. Don’t overthink it, you drink from it. Nice job guys ,

New standard in whiskey tasting glasses
The base of the glasses alows filling a perfect portion of whiskey. The curl on the lip makes it easier to take a taste than with a Glencairn glass. A great and innovative tasting glass

Tuath Glasses
Exactly what I expected!

Beautiful and Functional
A great sipping glass for those who like their whiskey neat. Rim flare allows your nose in, tall enough for the spirits to breathe, easy to hold and swirl.

An indepth review
So about a week ago I got a pair of Tuath Irish whiskey glasses and have a few impressions. (Note The main point of comparison will be the Glencarin and was done head to head. I had some coffee grounds to reset during the nosing and had a sliced apple as a palate cleanser. Spirits used were Ron Zacapa 23 solera rum 40%, Balvenie 12 DW, Ardbeg 10 & Corryvreckan and Macallan Classic Cut.) Aesthetics: Looks cool, like a larger glencarin with an asymmetrical base and a flare out at the lip, nice but nothing world shattering. Point: Tuath Ergonomics: The asymmetrical base took a few moments to find the most conformable grip once you get there it fits very nicely, the glass itself has a nice heft to it. The wider opening and the flare at the top does give you more leverage to adjust the glass to your mouth, less adjusting your head to the glass, again nothing world shattering but you can drink a bit more naturally. Point Tuath Nosing: No noticeable difference with lower abv spirits, maybe slightly less alcohol sting on cask strength but it's so slight I could barely perceive it when taking my time and methodically looking for a possible difference so it's possible that the difference is more in my head and in any case under normal circumstances any difference would be imperceptible. Point: Tie Palate: No difference Point: Tie Miscs: The size of the lip on the Tuath would make finding a glass topper for it a tad more difficult that for the Glencarin. Price: On Amazon Tuath $32 per 2, $18 per 2. Conclusion: The Tuath doesn't reinvent the wheel. The main reason to get this glass is for the aesthetic, the small increase in ergonomics is minimal and won't be an issue for most, differences in nosing and palate are small to nonexistent. The price is fine, I have more expensive glasses that I like much less.

Great glasses and a wonderful store!
We love these glasses for tasting new whiskeys, bourbons and scotches. The srem is perfect for swilling and the shape sends the beautiful aromas right to tour nose with each sip. They arrived sooner than expected and the handwritten thank you note was a wonderful touch and I will definitely purchase from The Celtic Ranch again.
