Durable, comfortable, affordable, and convenient
Best ear plugs you can get; and at a acceptable price. Banded earplugs are the way to go so that you can put them in and take them out no matter how dirty your hands might be. Plus they conveniently hang around your neck when not in use. Those who claim the band breaks on this item must be careless or somehow abusing them because I've had no problem with the durability of the many pairs I've owned over the last 5 years. I simply replace the item once the plugs get gross.Other banded ear plugs are terrible considering they either don't block adequate noise or simply hurt my ears. Loose plugs get lost. Muffs are too obtrusive and bulky; and usually don't sit well. Corded and loose plugs need to be handled too much, which is unacceptable if working with filthy hands.Hopefully the 3M banded ear plugs are never discontinued because they are superior to all others on the market. Definitely recommended.

Great noise reduction
My husband uses these all the time. Mowing yard, bowling the patio off, vacuuming and helping my son to build his home in the mountains. Always around your neck and easy to insert. A must for anyone!

Forgot I was even mowing
I wanted a pair of wearable earplugs (not the disposable ones) to save my hearing, especially with summer coming and doing mowing and tractoring work. Always thought these 1 size fits all don't do well because most music ear buds work crap in my ears, but after pinching the foam plugs really good before inserting, I actually got a really good seal to block out noises. So in that regard this is a 5.But if you have a larger head the head band is too short/narrow for a good fit so I give that a 3.So overall it gets a solid 4.

Decent
These worked pretty well for my job in construction. I can see why some people don't like them, they are somewhat small and you have to really wiggle them around in your ear to get them properly positioned to block the most noise. I'm mostly giving a 3 star review because of this and the ear plug ends aren't replaceable. I didn't think that would bother me much based on the price point, but I started using these while doing demolition on a job and the ear insert parts got filthy within a day or two and couldn't really be cleaned. I'm switching to a brand that will hopefully be more comfortable and has replaceable ends.

Not a good design
Awful product. Touching the neck piece result in loud noise directly to the ear. I’d be afraid to use these in any setting, let alone for shooting.

Very nice
I like these. My ears are sensitive so I can’t use foam one that you squish and put in your ear. I’ve normally used ‘muffs’ which work really well but can be hot and prevent me from wearing a hat. These are light, block the sound and allow me to wear a hat and/or sunglasses.

Works as well as the VERY expensive models!
These hearing protectors work very well. They are great at the shooting range when firing a rifle because they do not touch the stock of the rifle and therefore do not transfer noise into the shooter's ears. They are easily stored and transported and can be cleaned with a wet and soapy cloth. They certainly do as well as very expensive ear-plugs! However, they can become uncomfortable if one wears them for a long period of time. Also, stick with "earmuff" style protection when firing a pistol. These are really good for use when firing a rifle!
