Worked perfectly! Two traps baited with pea-sized peanut butter blobs, two days, two dead mice! Problem solved. Result!

These good old fashioned traps are very sensitive to pressure (obviously that's the point!) so it can take a bit of practice to actually set them without triggering them yourself. I found that heavier baits made this more of a problem as it weighed down the pressure pad and made it more difficult to set the trap.Once I got the two traps set with quality street chocolates (left over from Christmas) as bait, I was pretty pleased to catch 3 mice in the first 48 hours. I'm sure all were killed cleanly and instantly but one was quite badly 'messed up' leaving a pretty gory clean up job, and I'm not very sensitive about these things. I would therefore not recommend these for the faint-hearted.However, the real issue is that my mice grew wise to these traps very quickly and for the next few days, despite trying different baits and trap positions, they kept managing to take all the bait off the trap without setting it off. Only once more did a trap even get triggered, but without catching anything.I realised that in fact these traps had gone from helping to making things worse, as all I was actually doing now was feeding the mice (and therefore encouraging them) without catching any. At this point, I stopped using them and bought the Electronic Mouse Killer by the same manufacturer to finish off the job. This proved to be very successful, more humane and not gory/messy at all, so I guess this would be my recommendation.In summary, these simple traps do work but in my experience the success is only short lived. Might still be worth a try as a cheap solution to a minor mouse infestation.

I've tried the sound-emitting mouse scarer - it didn't work. So reverted to the age old traditional mousetrap. But - the spring is too strong and i cant lift it, also, have come to the conclusion that I just can't kill the wee beastie, I just want it to go away. So now. third time lucky perhaps, I need to get one that empties the live critter outside and alive.Incidentally, paid extra for quick delivery but it didn't arrive until several days later..

We had a load of mice coming through from next door where they have an excess of bird seed on the floor which attracts them, they've already chewed through some wiring so I wanted them gone. Where there is one mouse there will be loads more.The first step to setting these up properly is to use the right bait. The mice can easily remove the bait from the treddle if it's not secured so I suggest getting some cheerios as the first step. Then you'll want some superglue.Glue to cheerio to the treddle over the little pin and then glue another cheerio or two to the first one. Make sure they are well attached and then set your trap keeping your fingers out of the way as it will really hurt if it catches you.Then put your trap out and make sure it's covered as you don't want a bird or cat getting snapped in it.Check the trap every day and I guarantee you'll have a mouse in there, The bait will be gone as subsequent mice can obviously take it off without triggering the trap as it's already gone off. The other mice wont care about the dead body in the trap at all.I've caught two at a time this way as they both struggle to get the bait off the treddle they will trigger the trap. You may find the trap is gone when you go to look for it as a cat or a fox will take the whole lot if it finds it.

Arrived today and put into action straight away. I have a very old one in use and works well, they are v strong and easy to set up, just be carefull keep fingers away from bar once set up. Would buy again cheap too and it kills mouse instantly,no suffering.
