Fit For PurposeI bought this product to give me an extra kick of energy at the end of a long day at work before going to the gym as I often feel tired/drained after working all day. I opted for optimum nutrition because I am aware that it is a good brand. I have never had a pre workout before so I didn't want to spend too much money which is why I went for the orange flavour (it was one of the cheaper flavours at the time). I think this was a mistake on my part because I am not too keen on this flavour at all which has put me off using it too often. It is perfectly fine to drink and it is not in any way horrible to taste but I just think I would have enjoyed other flavours more. As for its effects as a pre workout, I am not wholly convinced. I do not feel as though it really gives me any more energy than a piece of fruit or a strong green tea. My boyfriend has suggested having it first thing in the morning before having eaten anything else as he thinks it is more effective on an empty stomach! I take this prior to going to the gym for a workout and it definitely increases my energy levels for a 2 hour session. After 2 hours training very hard I feel as if I could continue for another hour. Highly recommended. I mix two scoops with the recommended amount of water and drink it down quickly, 30mins before I start training.
