Bought for my son and he's delighted with it!He works with electronics and frequently finds he's dropped a screw etc under his desk!So this is perfect for those situations!It comes with batteries already installed plus a spare set too.You have to pull out a small cardboard disk to make the supplied battery connection, otherwise you'll get no light!There's a powerful magnet on the base as well as the light end - I wasn't expecting that, but it's a nice feature.The goose-neck works well and the light is a good brightness.The magnet on the light works really well.The build quality feels great and it's nicely presented.I'm pleased with my purchase and can thoroughly recommend!Hope I've helped :-)

Great piece of kit. Really like the flexibility of the head and lighting. Only little drawback is because of the lighting you sacrifice magnetic quality. However only if you are looking to pick up something like a pair of pliers! Otherwise it does what it says on the box. Those niggling little screws etc that we lose so easily can be found and picked up with great results.So, YES, definitely a good purchase worth having in your tool box.
