Installing cable connectors doesn't get any easier than this
I'm an older guy, and for decades I've installed coaxial connectors the "old school" way, using a box cutter and crimping tool. A few years back I moved up to compression connector fittings, investing in the Klein compression fitting tool, but was still preparing the cable the old-fashioned way. I bought this stripper because I was tired of wasting time trying to remember how much of the outer and inner insulator to strip away, and doing it badly most of the time because I could cut too deep. I'm pleased to say that this is perhaps the most perfect way I have ever seen of performing this task. It is literally foolproof. Let me explain... To cut a cable, simply slide the black sleeve on the tool up to block the exit side of the cable cutter opening, push down the black button on top of the tool, insert your cable into the open end (there's an icon above the opening that resembles a stripped cable--see photo attached to this review), release the black button, spin 3-4 times around the cable, and then push the button again and release the cable. Slide off the first part of the insulation, which exposes the inner conductor, and then slide off the second section, which exposes the outer conductor/electrical shield. Push into your compression fitting until the inner "white" insulator is flush with the inside of the connector, insert the connector into your compression tool and compress the two parts of the connector together. Done! The tool is all plastic except for the blades, of course, and I don't see any way to replace the blades so at some point you'll have to toss it when the blades lose their sharpness, but for its size, simplicity, and consistent quality connections, I think it's a worthy investment. You should easily get hundreds of trouble-free cable connections out of this before that time comes, and as I said in my title for this review, I just don't know how you can make this task any easier than what Klein has done here.

Buy once, cry once is true. This little tool, it is worth the extra couple dollars over knock-offs.
Perfect F-connector prep on RG6Q every time. No muss or fuss, quick and easy. Klein tools are trusted by professionals for a reason: they work right the first time. Only cost a couple dollars more than knock-off prep.tools, but worth every penny.

Nice coax cable stripper
This cable stripper works great as long as you use quality cable. I tried it on cheaper thin cable, and it cut through the mesh covering that you need for a ground connection on the cable. There was no way to adjust for the thinner cable as the blades are at a set height. Otherwise, it is a swell tool and works very fast.

Super easy to use COAX cable stripping tool
I was in need to terminate some COAX cables for my TVs at home, the tool is very easy to use and so far it has worked all the times I have used it with no issues, very top quality plastics and very safe and easy to use.

it worked for me.
i have used a number of of cable strippers. My favorite was a simple dual blade adjustable that i could use for most low voltage applications. I purchased this for rg6, because i couldn't find my old stripper. It worked great for rg6, it has an adjustment for rg59. For coax cable it is great.

Great tool with a few watchouts.
Great product, works perfectly. You should know the following. There is a correct side to insert the cable. There is an embossed diagram but it's not easy to spot. I've now marked it with a Sharpie. Don't go crazy on twirling the cutter, a couple of turns is all you need then release the tool and pull off the two cut pieces. If you cut too much then you'll start cutting into the outer braid and leave tiny pieces on the cable. Finally, some tools have Velcro to brush back the braid before crimping, this one doesn't have that. Despite all of the above I still give it 5 stars.

not only does this stripper work every time for rg6 and rg59 coax but the back round end of the stripper can be used to push cabling underneath baseboards to avoid stapling and it fits on the clip on my tool belt. great device. only had to purchase a second one because i lost the first one at an appointment.
