TaylorMade Golf M5 Driver (460cc)

This is an awesome driver head. Remember, you have to also pair it with the correct shaft for your swing. I am a fast swinger so I love Extra stiff shafts. But HZRDUS shafts are my favorite. Other shafts can be the same stiffness rating, yet bend more than the HZRDUS. To each their own, but at least this M5 driver head is the bomb. Same as M6 only you don't get the adjustments on the M6 for helping correct draw or fade - I hit straight, so M6 would have been fine, but the M5 was a better deal. Learn to swing the club properly and you won't need weight adjustments to help you fix a bad swing.

This club is amazing. Coming from an SLDR, the improvement in my shot is immense. Having hit the M3 Driver last year, this years does show improvements. The sound of this club at contact is amazing, and will let you know when you make a great shot. You can really feel your shot with the club and will give you feedback as to how well your shot was without even watching the ball flight. The mis-hits on this club are still very accurate with Twist Face and the adjustability makes this club able to fit to a variety of swings. I can't stress enough the importance to be fitted, go to a local store and get fitted for the club, know what loft and shaft you need for this club, it makes a difference in the way it performs for you. In my comparison having tested both M5 and M6 with the same shaft and loft; I found the M6 to feel as if I have nothing on the end of the shaft. It was far too light in my opinion and this feels much heavier. This is all based on personal presence though, hit both and see what you prefer. The M6 is more forgiving of a club due to the weight being placed in the back, but the same can be achieved with this club by placing the weight in the furthest back position. You can feel the quality of this club from the headcover to the club itself. I found myself hitting the ball more consistent than ever before with this club, and the view of the club at approach is amazing with the matte black top. Overall I would highly recommend this club, It is an investment but well worth it in my case, get fitted, try M5 and M6 and then make a decision based on how each fits your game and swing; you won't be disappointed either way!

The Taylormade M5 is easily one of the best drivers to hit the market within the past 5 years. I play a lot of golf. Around 85-100 rounds during the season and my handicap is trending at a 3.2. I’ve tried driver after driver and different shaft combinations and I just never fell in love with one. The M5 changed my that. I can’t speak enough for the sound, speed, feel, and appearance. I ordered this product with the orange Tensei x stiff shaft and it has so far performed to expectations. Any golfer looking for a new driver needs to at least test drive this club. I would absolutely say I love this driver more so than the 2020 TM SIM driver. Now, In closing, I will say I was absolutely disappointed when I received the club with NO HEADCOVER, and NO DRIVER WRENCH. If I’m purchasing a BRAND NEW driver still in the plastic you would think this would be included as it is with any other. Fantastic choice otherwise. 4/5

I am very impressed with the technology in this club. I have added about 25 yards to my drives and my dispersion is far less from my previous driver. It is still possible to slice the ball even with "Twist Face". I cannot say whether the Twist Face or change in shaft flex is what is helping reduce my dispersion of driver shots. I upgraded to this club from a TaylorMade AeroBurner with a Stiff Flex, to this club with an Extra Stiff Flex.

I played with the R7 Superquad since it came out in 2006. I used to average about 280-290 with the occasional three hundo peppered in there. I picked up this beast about 2 weeks ago and am seeing an increased total distance of about 15 yards. Ball just explodes off the face, high trajectory, low spin, im out here mashing the ball. Great driver.

I had this driver for not even 3 months and this happened. The driver cracked after a couple rounds. I called to ask for warranty and got denied because the crack is technically not on the face.. There are way better (and more durable) drivers in the market for half the cost. I don’t recommend.

I'm a mid-single digit handicap golfer. I played with a TaylorMade R9 for several years. I hit it well, but did not like how high I hit the ball because I would get little to no roll. The M5 driver allows you to adjust the weight distribution to hit the ball lower. I am hitting 1-2 clubs less into all the greens now. My playing partners are getting tired of it!

My driver has a dent in club face exactly in the same spot you should hit the ball. When I requested a repair or replacement they told me it was not covered under warranty? It was from normal play. Sad that companies will not stand behind products suggest buying different brand
