The proof of its efficiency is undeniable: my current DeLonghi Magnifica was purchased in 2014 and continues to perform flawlessly today, a testament to proper, rigorous maintenance. MAXIMIZING PERFORMANCE AND BEANS: When you understand your machine inside and out, you gain the ability to dial in the grind settings and dosage perfectly. With a well-maintained system, I can pull a superior espresso even from budget-friendly options, like my standard strength-5 Lidl blend or their Italian Week specialities, outperforming expensive premium brands like the red Illy. Proper care is the deciding factor; a machine left behind with my late ex-wife was entirely ruined within six months solely due to a lack of regular descaling and cleaning. VERSATILITY AND A COFFEE ENTHUSIAST'S WISH: Durgol also keeps my portable Nespresso machines in pristine condition during extended travel. While Amazon offers the best value for this descaler, my only remaining wish is for Amazon UK to stock the iconic Trieste-based Hausbrandt coffee brand.
