I purchased this gauze for home use with my 11-year-old, 85-pound yellow English Labrador who deals with recurring “happy tail” issues. The gauze is soft, thick, and very absorbent, which made it effective for protecting the area and managing light drainage. The 12-ply thickness held up well and did not fall apart during use, even when combined with wrap. The biggest challenge was keeping any dressing in place for long periods because of how constantly and enthusiastically he wags his tail, which is not a fault of the product itself. From a quality standpoint, this gauze performed exactly as expected and felt comparable to what you would find in a clinical or veterinary setting. I was very pleased overall and would recommend it to pet owners who need reliable, high-quality gauze for wound care.

These 4x4 gauze sponges are thick and very absorbent. The 12-ply makes them feel sturdy and they don’t fall apart easily. Great quantity for the price and convenient to keep on hand for general first-aid/cleanup uses. Just note they’re non-sterile.
