Romanian-English/English-Romanian Practical Dictionary

I lived in Romania for 2 years, where I learned to speak Romanian. I continue to speak and read Romanian almost 20 years on, and during this time have used various dictionaries on the market. Simply said, (particularly for the form factor) this is the best dictionary I've found yet.

I would definitely recommend this if you're thinking about it. The Rom-Eng section marks where the stress is in every word, which has been a HUGE help to me because I don't have many ways to listen to the language. I'm impressed by the sheer number of words in this dictionary (it even has some oddly specific ones), so if you're trying to find a word to translate, there's a very good chance it'll be in here. Side note: the texture of the cover is very nice and it arrived in perfect condition.

Perhaps print could be a little darker, but a very good dictionary...Easy to find my way around. Appreciated the "Pronunciation and grammar guides in the first 30 pages.

Great dictionary. Sometimes I wish it had more words because I have run across words in reading news and such that are not in here, but it has plenty of content for a practical dictionary. Great dictionary for newbies and intermediates.

This is a very attractive and nice-sized book; good for travel or sticking in a backpack or computer bag. It's well constructed and I like the format and layout of this dictionary. I plan to use it a lot when I travel to Romania.

The print is super small and I had trouble with some of the translations.

Excellent; this was a gift. It was part of a packet f books on the same subject. It tied in neatly with the other matter ordered.

Esse dicionário tem uma ótima qualidade para o estudante de romeno iniciante/intermediário. A capa tem material diferenciado, o miolo não tem páginas finas, as entradas das palavras tanto em romeno quanto em inglês são muito bem organizadas. As seções das línguas são bem separadas (você consegue achar onde há a entrada em romeno e onde há a entrada em inglês), há um pequeno roteiro de características da língua romena, que ajuda bastante na questão da flexão e da pronunciação. Vale muito a pena encomendar esse produto e o preço está de acordo com sua qualidade. Estou muito satisfeita.

This book is well organized and is of the same quality as any dictionary you would have for Spanish French or Italian. Was a bit "getting used to" in the organization of letters that also have accents on them but it makes sense. Just took a while for me to look further for a particular word after thinking that the word was "missed". Just in a different location! This book is a must if you are learning Romanian.

With this dictionary is a great way to add more word to your Romanian vocabulary.
